Everyone is always speculating why they left, so why can't they tell their side of the story? Harry and Meghan are free to talk about their experiences. Just because William and Catherine can't (both personally and by the firm- Never complain, never explain.) doesn't mean Harry and Meghan have to stay silent. Privacy is what they want to keep to themselves, everyone is entitled to that just like Catherine is entitled to her private diagnosis and the right to step away from royal duties because she is recovering from chemo.

What story? That they were there less than 2 years and were given all the help and support in the world only to have it thrown back in their faces? So "telling their story" (aka as publicly trashing your family) also includes trashing the British public at large as well? Nobody speculated why they left, they either bought the lie and the "impression" that life was hell for the two or they didn't. The royal family kept mum and simply tried to contain the transition with what they had been left with. This so-called story telling has far and wide implications, just look at how their kids are estranged from their UK family, not to mention Thomas Markle too. And the privacy you allude to about Princess Catherine, why bring that up? I know exactly what it feels like to be a spare. I had an older sister and a younger sister but my father totally ignored me. In his eyes I did not exist and I don’t know why. He’s gone now died quite a few years ago but I don’t celebrate Father’s Day ever because I didn’t have a father who was a father to me. Rest in peace Kenneth.

But charles isn't like your father even Harry himself said that every night charles used to came in to his bedroom, and sit on his bedside while gently caressing Harry's face and hair and won't leave the till Harry was in sleep.
