@@sonaves5640 I’m 6 months late but I was confused and did some searching up. So the Grand Duchess Olga is the direct daughter of Tsar Alexander lll of Russia. The Lady here is the great-granddaughter of him. So technically grandniece of Grand duchess Olga. Grand duchess Olga has the title of grand duchess rather than princess. Princess Olga is the daughter of Prince Andrei, grandson of Tsar Alexander via his mother Grand Duchess Xenia( sister of tsar Nicolas ll, Grand Duchess Olga). I’m guessing her sister was overseas during the revolution like many of her other relatives. Unlike like what most of us believe, there are living direct lineage of Romanovs due to them being overseas or in a safe place from the revolutions. I know that most of the times siblings of kings or queens would have the title of Duke or Duchess rather than Prince ir Princess unless given I think? Please do correct me if I’m wrong thanks.Hope this clears it up?

Just viewed last night the vidon Olga Alexandrovna, daughter of Tsar Alexander III, and Sister to Tsar Nicholas. She and her mother and Russian officer Husband escaped from Crimea by British warship in early 1920s, via Italy to Denmark ( related to Danish Royals) and after many years as Farmers in Denmark, she and her husband went to Canada. By this time she had Two Sons. This current Princess Olga is the Grand-daughter of Olga Alexandrovna., who passed in the 1970s??? In any case the title is Honorific, as the Family is for all intents, extinct.. The descent of the Romanoffs is described in another KZbin video.

@@sonaves5640 I would imagine the name "Olga" is given to more than one person in the Romanov family. This one is Princess Olga Andreevna Romanoff. Her grandmother was the sister of the last czar and also of Princess Olga Alexandrovna. So this princess Olga is the great-niece of Olga Alexandrovna.

@@pegihaider813 Olga R.? You mean Olga Alexandrovna? Olga Alexandrovna was her grand aunt, her grandmother was the grand duchess Xenia Alexandrovna, sister of Olga Alexandrovna and also sister of the last Tsar. Olga Alexandrovna first escaped to Malta before proceeding to England. Olga Alexandrovna spent some time in England before migrating to Canada. Their mother, the empress dowager Maria feodorovna, who escaped along with the sisters, also stayed for a time in England before moving back to her native Denmark.

+Moneca Savoie Why did you assume she was wealthy? You don't appear to appreciate that her father and other relatives that escaped to London, left Russia in fear for their very lives. They left pretty much with the clothes they were wearing, and not much else, leaving all of their possessions behind. Did you think they would have stuffed banknotes into suitcases? Sadly, real life isn't that simple. But they certainly had to get out. Look what happened to Olga's father's cousin, Czar Nicholas II and his wife and daughters. They were all executed by the Bolsheviks in 1918. Olga's father and her other Russian relatives would have been under threat of similar treatment.

That depends on what you consider to be wealthy. She is many times poorer then Arab sheiks or the oligarchs of Russia, but I'm sure she could drown all of them in her old-world class. Regardless of how much money she has, she is still a member of the English aristocratic class, as she stated in this interview. At least in England, class and wealth are not always exactly the same thing. She is rich enough to be the owner of a fine old home in England, which was restored by her in the early 2000s and is partially open as a public venue.

gardensofthegods, they were murdered because the canon of the white army could be heard clearly where they were being held.
