I start with a shrimp cocktail , Caesar salad, and French onion soup. Then salmon is my fallback if the main course does not interest me. It is always good. For dessert creme brule' if available.

Bonny, it's so wonderful to find your Regal Princess playlist. I just booked the seven day cruise for the first week of December. Looking forward to my first fully adult, fine dining cruise. You're so welcome! My daughter is vegetarian and likes vegan. So she ate off of both menus. Make sure you let your waitstaff know your wishes in advance!

So, you have to pay for WiFi to use the app. I like to go phone free on cruises. How difficult is navigating without the app?

Ask for a paper copy of the Pitter Patter daily event paper so you can know what is going on. If you have my time dining the hostess station can book your times the night before. You need to tell them you don’t have your phone. I think guest services maybe can help but the lines are usually long. If you have a set dining time it will tell you your table on your app. Possibly they can inform you at check in. They use a medallion and everything is scanned for your identity. I would print your boarding documents from home so you know your check in time. I think the check in can tell you your muster station and dining table. They just need to scan your medallion to look everything up. When in doubt ask a person in uniform! It is possible to not work with your phone.

We are sailing on the regal in February. We have premier unlimited. Would you recommend doing only specialty dining since its included, or should we try the main dining too? Also, whats the lunch situation? Is it just the buffet?

The specialty dining is good. It may be hard to get reservations if you don’t book right when you get n the ship. The main dining a good too. It can be hectic on the first day. It’s a different experience than specialty dining. If you get a good table and a good waiter it is nice 👍. The lunch will be the buffet. I don’t believe the main dining room is open for lunch. Maybe it is in a sea day. Alfredo’s pizza ( $15) is open and there is a grill and pizza at the pool. Try the dining room for fun. Lobster is on one of the dress up nights.

It looked like all the meals shown were Casual/Specialty dining. What kind of vegan options did you find in complementary dining? Would your daughter recommend budgeting for casual options over complementary?

All the meals shown in the video were at the main dining room. They have 2 menus to choose from. One is the main dining room menu that everyone has, the other is a vegan option menu that changes nightly. It is free, no additional cost! You have to specify you are vegan or vegetarian to your waiter and when you make your reservation ( special request vegan). The vegetarian options on the main menu are varied, I wouldn’t say a huge selection. My daughter chose things off the vegan and regular menu to create her own menu. You can do that. The specialty restaurants are Italian and a Steakhouse…not sure if they have vegan options. I just did a video on the buffet, they offer a vegan corner, East Indian dishes and vegetarian options. So the bottom line this all is included in your cruise fare. It is not extra!
