Mr. wlop do you use references to get inspired before every art you make or not anymore?
@Thesamurai19992 жыл бұрын
He does a lot of studies (maybe not as much anymore) and so he’s capable of drawing this without any reference. However, this is only based upon my own assumption, when he does gather reference it’s usually about the mood and atmosphere of a scene. He does use his own previous paintings as reference in order to get the likeness off his characters down, particularly of the face.

experiment and keep practicing
@KellySmith5558 жыл бұрын
Student: How do you become a rocket scientist? Teacher: Eh, Practice and experiment. Student: How do you solve this mathematics problem? Teacher: Practice, and experiment, that will do it. Student: How do you become a professional engineer? Teacher: Hmm, try practicing and experimenting. Why on earth do people think that "practice" is an intelligent piece of advice for art, but its completely stupid in every other field of study. I'd prefer not to get an answer than to hear the words "practice" when I look for guidance.
@payals26598 жыл бұрын
KellySmith555 im a student myself and its the practice that helps me improve but maybe thats just me. but then of course, straight answers would be rather more useful and beneficial. but when it comes to creative studies, such as art and design, its the practice that also helps. Experimenting and practicing is what helps you to develop and improve your skills. Every field of studies have different methods, for art and such it happens to be experimenting, practicing and actually having knowledge about the subject. You can learn about different techniques and do proper research from all the resources but when you finally have to apply those techniques, you aren't just going to get the grasp of it straight away, unless one is an absolute genius. In that case good for them cause it doesn't work for me or any of my friends who are in creative fields.
@KellySmith5558 жыл бұрын
BB Trash BS. Years ago, I went to one drawing class in college and they actually taught us techniques for reconstructing visuals on paper. I went from drawing stick figures to drawing realistic images in a mutter of six weeks. Practice wasn't the key, it was the instruction and guidance that made me improve. There are real methods for learning to draw, but so few people actually take the time to explain those techniques. I've studied art for years now, practice is important, but its still borderline retarded to tell people that "practice" alone will help them. Especially when they give no indication of what to practice, how much to practice it, and how long they should practice until they will succeed. Your not helping anyone when your advice is so oversimplified and irrational.
@payals26598 жыл бұрын
KellySmith555 thats why i said having knowledge about the subject is just as important as experimenting and practice. did i not state this earlier? sure i didn't state it on my first comment but I just did after your first initial comment. from the basics and techniques you learn, you apply them after. The techniques and methods you get taught, you practice them. You are taught from somewhere and if youre confused about certain things, you ask your tutor and they will guide you, not say "practice" when youre clueless. Well at least thats what my tutors does. They teach us and we take it from there, if we are confused, we ask and they explain. Its obvious that you need to learn about the subject first, start from the basics and then practice. I never meant practice alone, i did say above that having knowledge about the subject is just as important. I thought the person who originally commented would have looked into the basics and actually learn about this subject so I said continue experimenting because hey if you want to learn about anything you do your research first about the subject.
