Thank you for a great video! I'm an independent contractor for a couple different orthopedic vendors. As stated, compression plates can have threaded holes for locking screws. These holes can easily be cross threaded resulting in a destroyed and wasted plate. This especially happens when the surgeon must take out the screw to re-position the plate under imaging or any kind of revision. We found that revisions commonly occur when a surgeon is fixing another surgeons work. Plate A is exchanged for Plate B. Beidermann Motech has come out with a brand new classification of a both compression and locking cap system. The screw's polyaxial angle range is up to 40 degrees, no threads in the plate holes, and the screws are either compression or injection screws for bone cement. Once all the screws are in place, then locking caps are screwed over the holes to prevent the screws from ever backing out. Never has a locking cap come out. I'm not trying to sell this haha! Its a very educational yet revolutionary product that is not quite well known to the medical community yet. Best of both worlds. Thank you for this great video!

An orthopedic surgeon is a doctor who does analysis, treatment, and restoration of wounds, disorders, and ailments of the body's musculoskeletal framework. It is a framework that incorporates bones, tendons, muscles, nerves, and ligaments. An orthopedic surgeon corrects inborn or functional irregularities of the bones with surgery, casting, and bracing. In some cases, surgery is important to rectify the issue and avoid additional damage. Orthopedic surgeons work with the patients to locate the best course of treatment to enable them to carry on with a functioning and practical life. They have extensive training in the correct finding and surgical treatment of wounds and diseases of the musculoskeletal framework. In spite of the fact that they know about all parts of this framework, many of them specialize in certain areas, for example, the foot, lower leg, hand, shoulder, elbow, spine, hip or knee
So easy to follow and understand, thanks! Great visuals!!
