I would like to add to the conversation that I agree that money has no intrinsic value, but there is an extrinsic value when used for kindness where it will be appreciated most personally, I do not believe in reincarnation every human has their own eye, retina, fingerprint, additionally a heart rhythm that is different! thank you for sharing. Regarding "embrace reality and deal with it", it is not always clear whether "reality" is dependent or independent of one's action, especially when coupled with the principle "see yourself as part of the whole". There's a risk that "embrace reality and deal with it" has a paralyzing effect on people, suggesting they should adapt to the conditions that are handed to them rather than try to change conditions for the better. There's a risk that it becomes an obstacle to leadership, progress and an excuse for bad behavior.

Hello Ray, I have all your books and have read them cover to cover (including the data-heavy tomes). I have great respect for your work. With all due respect, let me correct you on one misunderstanding. Individuals do not evolve. They grow, develop, reproduce (perhaps) and finally die. In contrast, species evolve. Evolution is defined in collective terms. It is measurable and is precisely the changing frequencies of alleles (genes, if you like) across time in a given defined gene pool or population. Individuals may contribute to this process by having offspring (and raising them) or not, or by altering the reproductive success of other members of their family or tribe, and perhaps of other groups. But never, at any time, does the individual evolve. You develop, you learn, and you even become wise, but you do not evolve.

Thanks! This was very enjoyable interview for me. All the lost and suffering people in the world is really my only source of suffering now. To live with empathy, kindness and love for each other is the-only-way. Why do people have to be driven to this point of madness and suicidal despair before finding God, consciousness, non duality or the self? Whatever the name for it is pointless, but the life changing alteration that takes place within us can only be expressed as Divine. This is the Mission that interest me. How do we teach the blind to see what they have never seen? It is obvious from the writings of Jesus, Lao Tzu, Buddha etc. that they were Divine teachers. However, I don't believe that most of the people that teach religions have had this type of experience. I live in a small town and what passes for Christianity here is more like authorization-moralism. Somehow people need to realize that not only are they hurting but see that everyone else is hurting as well. This I believe is the key to understanding each other.
