It's not the easy bolt on that the Tacoma's are with their factory mounting points but it really isn't too bad to do!

Don’t buy it until the major design flaw is fixed. The new Prinsu pro roof rack on my 24 Land cruiser fills up with water whenever it rains. The crossbars have an open channel that retain water. I called Prinsu they told me I needed to dry the rack every time it rains. Major design flaw all they need to do is drill two small holes in the bottom of each crossbar to prevent this water from pooling.

Nice. Do you know, is there a cab mounted roof rack that can support the weight of a pop up roof top tent, including with say two adults sleeping inside while in use, say a Roofnest or any number of other brands? Being able to mount and use a pop up tent above the cab opens up so many possibilities for the use of the bed and access to it, but is it doable.

Yes the Prinsu rack does fully support a roof top tent mounted with people sleeping in it. As a matter of fact that is one of the main reasons people choose our rack and install it on their vehicles.

Yes it sure will! Full slide and tilt functionality of your moon roof functions with any of the Prinsu racks. The other awesome part is you can leave the crossbars in their standard locations or you can remove or move the crossbar over the sunroof as well. Lots of options to get it setup just the way you want.

Will the Prinsu rack for the 3rd gen 2018 Tacoma fit the new 2024s? Its the mounting hard ware the same, etc?

The mounting and shape of the roof is different from the 3rd gen Tacoma to the new 2024's. We have a full offering for the new 2024's for roof racks however if that is what you are looking for.

Does it come with the LED Bar brackets if purchased with the half height wind deflector ? Or do you have to purchase brackets separately?

The rack does not come with the LED brackets. Your light bar should come with those and if you don't like how they position the rack then we have several options for light bar brackets that will allow the light bar to sit lower and in a more discreet position.

We have not fit this on your model of F-150. Kiley you could make it fit although there could be a few areas where the fit may not be perfect.

As I am two holes deep into installing this on my new 2024 Frontier Pro 4X, I think to read my owners manual and find the location of the side curtain airbags. The owners manual states that “the curtain air bags are located in the side roof rails”!!! This, to me, is exactly where you are required to drill!! I’m hoping I just didn’t eff one of my safety features of my new truck. I’d take caution in purchasing this roof rack, unless I’m proven wrong.

You should be just fine. We recommend controlling the depth of your drilling so you don't have any issues with any part of the factory roof but the side curtain airbags are off to the side more so there shouldn't be an issue. If you were to remove the door seal trim and slightly pull down the headliner you will see the side curtain airbags... They are tucked tightly in to those side rails right where you want them to deploy.

I’m currently installing this and holy heck, this is difficult. I’m drilling into my truck now and 1/4” sunk easily, all bits after up to 3/8” bit does not. I’ve been cursing Nissan and myself for over six hours and only have two out of 10 holes complete!!!! Update: Have a professional install this for you.

Quality drill bits will help tremendously. Also make sure you start small and work your way up incrementally. The last item that will help tremendously is using cutting lubricant and using the slow setting on the drill. Once you have the initial hole drilled it should be quite simple to work your way up to the 3/8" bit. Give us a call if you have further issues or questions and we would be happy to help!

@@02PSU No you shouldn't need to worry about the airbags. Use a KC wire hider to run your wiring down the windshield and into the engine bay for any roof rack lights.

We have tested most racks on the market and the Prinsu rack is the quietest by far. The low profile design and the way they created the shape with the wind deflector make it incredibly quiet. Most models only add about 1 to 2 decibels of wind noise over stock.

this video is 50% helpful and 50% worthless. Removal of headliner and install of plusnuts is pretty important.

why wouldn't you pre install the Riv nuts for the customer? Would just make sense since they are finicky to do without a proper riv nut tool

Where does the taller spacers go? In the video he said middle and the back but he was putting them on at the front? And if they go in the middle and back like he said, there’s only total of 4 taller spacers. And why is there no pdf manual available online? Only for 5th gen is available?

Working through mine right now - looks like the four long ones go up front as the clearance is a little tighter. EDIT: Confirmed, he says it at 8:30. A little late for when the question occurs, but it’s in there.
