This is GREAT!!! I've only been to NY Public Library. But they are great too. I love finding good, old documents, paintings, etc. And I don't buy digitals or anything else, really. Too much that's better, and FREE. Thank you for this information. I'd love any more you know of. Austin, TX USA

Thank you:) I'm working on more videos, so new material should come up at least once a week, sometimes more often.

Any chance of a photoshop tutorial on digitally enhancing these vintage images? Often a lot of the stuff especially from British library or internet archive is not high enough quality to be used for large prints etc. I notice a lot of sellers on creative market with digitally enhanced versions of vintage images, especially engravings. I’ve always wondered how this is done. A great example is raw pixel who have enhanced many images from BL and other sources and they are superb quality. So far I can only find tutorials on enhancing old photos, not book images or paintings etc. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated, thanks.

Hi George. In order to enhance engravings from let's say old Encyclopedia Britannica (or any old book for that matter), you'll need a combination of two programs. Free versions are: Gimp+Inkscape, Photopea+Inkscape. Mid range price: Affinity Photo + Affinity Designer (currently on sale-50% off until 30.06.2021), or Adobe Illustrator + Adobe Photoshop. I am planning to create this type of videos, but it might take a while until you'll see one on this channel. Anyhow, it all depends what size you are after, if you are crafter then you can crop and clean these images in Photoshop, if you are after let's say creating larger images, then again Photoshop (crop+clean), and Image trace in Illustrator - you'll find individual techniques for these two programes here on KZbin, and you can apply them to old/vintage images also (in some cases a trial and error is needed). Older colour lithographs like for example birds, you can clean in Photoshop, there are some techniques that you can apply automatically (search for removing background in Photoshop) and pen tool (takes longer to edit, but you can print easily A1 size and the images are still crisp) - I've tested both methods and printed the examples on large format printer, and to be perfectly honest, nothing will beat Pen Tool on larger size poster. The quicker method is very straight forward, but decent quality of prints are 8x10, anything past that and you'll see the missing pieces of the image, or sharp cuts/ etc. So it all depends on how much time you want to spend on each image. In general, its 5minutes vs. 30 minutes. All the above info is on assumption that you want to remove the background from old images. You can also check AI supported solutions like Topaz Labs they do have plugins for Photoshop too.

I'm using software called Camtasia. Pretty much the link below sums it up: www.techsmith.com/learn/tutorials/camtasia/animations/#:~:text=Zoom%20your%20video,click%20and%20drag%20the%20playhead.

i want to download bundle public domain can you help me ?
@TheCreatorSynergy2 жыл бұрын
No, I cannot. For free you have to download them one at a time. If you want to pay, you can check ebay, as some people are selling bundles of images on DVD discs or hard drives. But I do not know any site that legally will allow you to download 'a lot of images' at once.
