Print spooler service is not running (How To Fix)

I have an old (14 yr old) Windows XP. Had a print spooler error this week. Thought I was sunk. Found your video and looks like I can get a little more life from my sweet baby Dell. Thank you so much. Your video just keeps on helping people. 😊

Fixed it easy first try on our windows 10...clicked to start spooler and that's all it took! Video still helping out 5 years later...Thank you for posting!

I've gone thru a lot of fixes, including yours. My HP printer will go offline when it runs out of paper. I've checked the spooler status, and I don't know if this 5520 won't work because I need to refill cartridges. All connections have been checked, but because the printer is offline, I can't install new cartridges anyway! The only thing that "worked" before was keeping the printer turned off for several days. There must be a better answer. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing. This worked. I did activated all the dependencies with the LexBce, now I have 4 extra process running. Can I now still just delete the Lexmark and not ruin the print spooler dependencies?

You didn't say what to do if we run into exactly the issue you showed in the video but did not address..."cannot set DEP attributes on 64-bit executables". I tried the other solutions but no joy. How would you solve the exact error you demonstrated in the video?

Hi guys! I lost my print spooler service after I installed a MAMP server on my 64-bit win 7 laptop. I had to STOP the services that were on port 80 (printer dependent services). I believe I ended the http service and, I believe, that stopping this http service caused my problem.. I can't find out how to restart the http service.. Any suggestions?
