Such a feature cannot be added, document printing is only supported on Officejet Pro or Laserjet Printers using the PostScript print language, the printer only supports the PCL3 language and cannot print a such directly from a memory device. There are printers like the Officejet Pro 8730 or the Laserjet Pro M281 printers which capable of such, but both are A4 printers only and do not support A3 printing. Binu - Social Media Tech Support

+Franangelico Ona Follow these steps to print saved files from a USB flash drive: -Enable the USB port from the printer control panel to print documents from a USB drive. -On FutureSmart 3 printers, go to the printer control panel home screen and touch Administration. -Touch General Settings, and then touch Enable Retrieve from USB. -Enable the option, and then touch Save or OK. -On FutureSmart 4 printers, go to the printer control panel home screen and touch Settings. -Touch Copy Print, Enable Print from USB Drive, and then enable the option. -Print documents saved on the USB flash drive from the printer control panel. -On the printer, locate the USB port. -If necessary, remove any covers on the port, and then insert the USB drive. -On FutureSmart 3 printers, wait for the printer to detect the USB drive, and then touch OK. -Navigate to and select the document you want to print. -If desired, adjust the number of copies to print, and then touch Retrieve from USB to print the document. -On FutureSmart 4 printers, wait for the printer to detect the USB drive, and then touch Print. -Touch Print from USB drive. -Touch Choose, and then navigate to and select the document you want to print. -If desired, adjust the number of copies to print, and then touch Print to print the document.

How do you eject the USB from the printer?

+Odera Anokwalu-Igwebuike Just remove it (pull it out) from the printer and there won't be any issue for printer or for your thump drive. You don't need to shut down the printer to do that.

Just FYI, these printers will NOT print 2 sided from a USB. I found this out the hard way after buying an HP Laserjet Enterprise M806X+. A $6000 printer that won't print 2 sided from a USB. WOW!

Unable to use any finishing options when doing this. Makes the feature useless for teachers who need to staple and punch their work.

+E Bee May I know the complete model number of your printer and could you please elaborate the issue you are experiencing on it?

@@HPSupport E72535Z with finisher and punch. Which work fine in the copy screen and when printing from a computer. Print from USB however doesn't let you do anything, only lets you print the file. No finishing touches.
