Hi there Bryan, I have a HP4350N and get the 57 . 04 message and asks me to turn the printer off then on ...... did that a number of times, no joy ? Then i tried your solution here, the fan was a bit dirty so i cleaned it but it works fine. What I have noticed is the printer engine runs for 10 seconds, then stops and consequently stops the fan and the 57.04 message comes on ............. Soooooooooo I am thinking the 57 . 04 message is caused by the fan being shut down once the engine stops ? Question is , why does the engine stop after 10 seconds ? cant find anything on this on the internet or youtube ? I cant print a test page or anything, am basically dead in the water Am thinking there might be a problem with the engine or motherboard ? How can I diagnose this though ? yes its an old printer but runs like a champ for 10 years .... i print maybe 20 pages every 2 weeks ... Do you have any suggestions mate ?

Hi. When i start hp 4250 dtn the display is Freezing , no words , no symbols and 3 leds on. Where is the problem? Bios? Chip? Firmware? Display flex? Thjankss

Hi, I have a 4250 with this error, the fan spins when i first turn the printer on then it stops. I ordered a new fan and it does the same thing, I then swapped out the fan and environmental sensor from a working 4250 and still get the error and the fan stops after a few seconds. Any advice please before I have to buy a new printer

I have decided that you never fix and old printer. Time to buy a new one. Had 3 HP 4250s thatI bought used. One lasted a month putting new parts in, another 4 months. Just a waste of money.

I have the same problem. The printer was working great. I turned it off to move it and when I turned it back on it started to go with fans running, a few seconds later they stopped, the LCD screen kept doing startup until it got to initializing then I got the 57.04 error. I really like this printer. Help
