Thanks for the information on 'disable cartridge check test' - however does this function help also with issues related to transfer belt? I have a customer with a machine only 18,000 pages used and a horizontal mark is appearing a the top of the A4 page. Now I changed the Cyan because this toner had most usage but no change, however when yo remove the Cyan toner there is a mark at the exact area of the print quality line and I wondered if changing any toners would highlight the source of the problem. (from Graeme in Scotland - UK)?

Lifting the pickup roller as demonstrated gives you a 50/50 chance of installing the roller with the paper height lever on top of the flag. This then means that the printer does not detect that the paper tray is lifted properly and just keeps lifting which causes the clack clack noise that another user mentioned. Also note that the separation rollers (the lower roller) for these models now have a black center on the roller instead of clear, which makes it look different. Do not use the separation roller demonstrated as it can cause jamming or pinching of paper.

More like how do take the panel off. I have no problem jumping in but be nice to see it done first so i don’t mess up my printer

I wanted to use my HP color laserjet 2500l again and the problem was that the printer prints blank paper (all 4 catriges are new) and i ran also the engine test and again blank page. What would you do???

Good tip and explanation of a common cause of the fuser drive wear issue. I replaced a drive gear assembly and the printer was just as noisy as before (with a new fuser unit, fully clicked in). There was still a bit of play at the gear side and you could see the fuser move back a 1mm or so during printing. When the fuser was pushed forward during printing, the gear noise went away. I solved it with a large-ish centre punch and a small hammer - one tap on the metal frame retaining tab at the LHS was enough. No more movement at the gear side.

This is the best video showing HP's overly designed roller replacement, the older printers my five year old could change them out in seconds. So many steps of this end up binding with unseen obstacles its a nightmare to change out these rollers. I now pay for a service person to come out to change consumables, but the demonstration is flawless.
