With respect, Printify should handle multiple variation “products”. All this should happen on the Printify side and be able to publish to Etsy with all variants and skus already populated. This is just a cumbersome (very) workaround for Printify’s limitation. If Printify would invest in getting this done it would pay off for everyone, especially Printify. ❤

If this has not already been done, I look forward to when printify will do this, since I have just started to create designs for products on my etsy store
@nw82047 ай бұрын
Yes I hope they come out with this change soon! It's one thing with just four can holders but when you have to do multiple colors for multiple styles of shirts for example, that's a lot of skus to transfer over! Another thing I wish they'd add is some sort of option to add designs to multiple colors easier. If I have 5 light shirts and 5 dark shirts I can pick which ones are the "default" but the other ones I have to add the design separately to each color instead. Having a "apply design B to all these selected colors" type of choice would also be a game changer.

Hello at 5:15 you put price on etsy, also when you come back to printify we can see the prices per variation, which is the correct way to update prices?? should we put on printify or etsy? let's say i want to publish tee+hoodie+sweatshirt with multiple color and sizes on same listing, should i create a template on printify for each product type and duplicate templates for each item type , put a design on them then publish? Which one i should publish ? what happens to unpublished ones? lets say i publish only tee, wht about sweatshirt and hoodies? are they stay unpublished??

Hey! We suggest doing the prices in Etsy if you have multiple items per listing. You can publish one item from Printify and leave the other unpublished. When you get an order on Etsy, you can import and link it to the correct product in Printify.

Hi! In this case, it'd be better to have each placemat as a separate listing. This way you can set up a discount when all four are bought together. Hi there! You can do this with any item as long as each variant is linked to a SKU on the Printify end. However you cannot group two different products (e.g a canvas and a t-shirt) on certain sales channels due to variant limitations (on Etsy, for instance, you can only have 2 depending on product category - like color and size).
@wendyon45173 ай бұрын
I have 12 designs and want to have at least two colors of T-shirts to offer. Newbie question: Etsy only allows two variation boxes. Can I use one for "size AND color" and the other for "design"? So basically in one Etsy variation box: 0:10 0:10 S black S red M black M red ... And the other ETSY variation box for: Friends Frenemies Lovers ... I'd use the photos section to show one photo with 4 designs on one color T-shirt. It would take 6 photos to show 12 designs on two T-shirt color choices. Is what I'm thinking correct?
@Printify3 ай бұрын
Hi there! This may be possible, as long as you assign the correct SKUs to the corresponding variants as they are on Printify. This ensures that the correct item is imported into Printify when an order is placed. Hi there! Yes, you can find the SKU's for each variation on Printify in the pricing table of the product details page. Just go to your My Products page, find the item you're interested in, click it, and then scroll down the pricing table.

I do have a question. Once we import everything, sizes, colors etc... do we leave the printify side of things as unpublished? Or do we publish all of the items after theyve been added to the etsy listings?
@Printify6 ай бұрын
Hi! Good question - No, you don't have to publish everything from the Printify side. If someone orders an item that's not published on the Printify side, it'll go into the 'Other Orders' tab in your Printify account. Then you can choose to link the order to an existing product (SKU) so future orders of the same exact variant will be automatically linked. In short, you don't need to do that upfront. Perhaps this article can help help.printify.com/hc/en-us/articles/4483617307665-How-can-I-import-orders-with-unsynced-products-into-Printify

I mean, Do I have to buy products in advance or create and advertise? Please help and guide me.. 🙏
@christina98417 ай бұрын
I am just a Printify customer, not Printifiy, but if you are doing Etsy, this is how it works. When someone purchases one of your items from Etsy (say, a T-shirt), Printify draws from the credit card you have on file, (let's say about 14 dollars) for the price and production of the shirt and sends it to the customer..... let's say you sold the shirt for 22 dolars, Etsy keeps about 6.5%, let's say that's about 2 dollars in this case.. so Etsy would deposit 20 dollars to your bank.. while Printify took 14 dollars from your credit card.. and you have a six dollar profit (after putting 14 dollars back into your credit card.) There are tons of Etsy teachers on youtube that will explain it better, but I hope that helps.
@SpeedbirdHeavy7 ай бұрын
Create your products first. If you're selling on Etsy, no need to advertise. If you're selling on Shopify, you do need to advertise.
@Printify7 ай бұрын
Hi! The others are correct. :) You do not need to buy the products in advance per se. Only when someone orders from you, you pay for the product and shipping on Printify, and we ship it directly to your customer. You need to have a valid payment method on Printify to pay for the product and shipping because we cannot pull funds from your Etsy account. If you're selling on Etsy, advertising isn't obligatory, however, it may help in some cases. More important is to have your SEO optimized so buyers can find your listings organically. What if you have a design you would like to put on 6 different colors and two different product lines (like red, blue, white, black, green, and purple sweatshirts AND hoodies) that's 12 potential mock up images, how can you link photos to each variation then? Not to mention any size chart image or additional images you want to include in your post??
@Printify3 ай бұрын
Hey! Etsy limits you to 10 mockup photos only and, unfortunately, you can only link photos to one variation type (in this case, either color or product). Many sellers will create one photo to show all the colors to stay within the 10 image limit.

Hi there! In Printify, a SKU number is one of the ways in which your store product is linked to Printify. Hi, I'm selling posters with various sizes and paper weights. What difference is this procedure versus publishing from Printify's end to Etsy? I compared the SKUs and prices and everything balances. Or am I missing something here? Also, as a newbie seller in Etsy and I just created a shop early this week. I integrated my Etsy shop with my Printify account. I’m trying to speed things along by publishing the items (26) in Printify so I can my products in Etsy. Little did I know, that by doing it, I will be charged right away for a listing fee per item, total is 5USD. I was expecting that publishing to Etsy will be like what I’ve done in BigCommerce: it will still not be final and an option to Publish the items/products will be given to me. Hope to hear from you soon.
@Printify7 ай бұрын
Hi! This method is for products in the Printify catalog that don't come in multiple size variants. Fortunately, for you most of our posters come in many sizes, so each size you select will be automatically published to Etsy with the correct SKU number. For example, you'll see that this Velveteen Plush Blanket comes in 3 sizes printify.com/app/products/522/generic-brand/velveteen-plush-blanket but this Throw Blanket only in 1 size printify.com/app/products/744/generic-brand/throw-blanket. Hope that makes sense. Yes, it'll publish automatically to your Etsy store. If you want the product to be pushed into your Etsy drafts from Printify, in the product details page before publishing check "Hide in store" under Product Visibility.

I know that with custom listings you should remove the SKU, else you don't have control of the order. HelloCustom would be a great tool once I am ready.

What if you have more than 10 variants? Some have 12 to 20 colors and want to offer a design for each color although you can only add 100 total in combo of color and sizes. So how do you add more pictures on Etsy to show each color? Right now I download simple mockups of each color like the folded shirts, and then make a collage of them and add color names. It would be convenient if I could link each color to a mockup and have more than one. The printify push to Etsy seems hazardous. It's tedious at the least. And offering different types like t-shirts mens and women's, and hoodies all in their respective colors seems impossible.

@@Printify too many options can cause someone not to decide. But if there are several blues for example I might go navy and a lighter blue like sapphire. Typically I'll choose one red. Maybe military and Irish green etc. Aside from black and white. Though some designs only look good on certain colors. But mens and women's shirts for example are the same for the most part. I may have overlooked it but there use to be something called a girlfriend tee that was more feminine cut tee. I could split colors and have mens one set of colors and women's another set. And I'm not sure if sizes either..most I believe is set to mens. Trying to market a small men's as medium women's is confusing if they don't know if they need a smaller size cause it's a men's medium not women's. Then there's misses, juniors and petites. Or if they want a 0 and the smallest is like a 24. I believe everything should go by inches to make it simple. Men's clothes typically do. But size charts do help. If the customer can read them correctly. I'm sure some people get returns because of wrong fits based on bad size chart skills alone.

Hey! You're right, 1000 listings is a lot! But you don't have to do them all at once. You can also create one draft listing on Etsy that has all the variations you'd like and duplicate it for new listings. Once an order comes in for a specific variation, you can import the product from the "Other Orders" tab in your Printify account and link it to the correct product/SKU in Printify. This means you wouldn't need to link all the SKUs before publishing, you could do it as orders come in.
