Brian, thank you for keeping the PrintNC videos coming. I've done the metal work for my machine and and part way through the wiring. Can you point me to some guides on how to wire the limit switches? I went with a mechanical switch and I'd like to have one on each axis with auto squaring on the Y-axis. I'm using the standard parallel port BoB and it has limited inputs. I'd also like to add a plate like you have as well as wire in some stop switches. I've tried looking at the Wiki and on Discord but I'm not having much luck.

Thank you so much for sharing all of your work. I've been looking at building my own SFFPC and keyboard cases starting with 3d printing and MPCNC and your videos are super helpful and inspiring.

Hey no problem, thanks for watching the videos! Sounds like we have a lot in common!

Another way to prevent the binding is by making a thin plate that you mount between the nut and bracket. you put some jb weld in between and tight it lightly, let it cure and tight it down.

5:02 depending on that wood height the foam is attached too. You could print out a flashing (apron or eaves) that attaches to door that chips hit amd roll down to the inside of the wood piece.

Thanks for sharing, looks like a fun and capable build! I'm in the process of upgrading my MPCNC from a Burly to Primo, but already eyeing up whether a PrintNC will be the step after that...

Another excellent video! Since you had alignment issues after switching from the 3D printed parts to aluminum, would you recommend sticking with 3D printed for those parts? If you go with aluminum, what process can you use to avoid alignment issues?

Absolutely amazing! I can't wait to start building my machine, I have a friend making the 3d printing parts since I don't own a 3d printer.😀

15:30 Could you put a PLA/ TPU95 pad between plate and breaking to smush down and make things level/ square? In fish tank rigid tube you have to have some sort of flexible house or it messes it up.i likewise on your machine if everything super rigid it has to be super square/ aligned it it will bind up. A flexible “washer” would surely help but not allow things to be loose.

Hi Brian, Nice job. Can you share the link for the AliExpress kit? Thanks in advance. Keep up the great job.
@ProjectsbyBrian2 ай бұрын
Thanks! I actually removed the AliExpress link from my videos since it was becoming out of date. I'm not sure how things are handled now with the kit. I'm sure one of the members on Discord would know though (Discord server link is in the description as well).

Awesome. I would like a spindle like that. Do you know if i can get it on amazon? I don't know what brand it is.
@ProjectsbyBrian3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can. If you search 2.2kw spindle then you will get a handful of options from different sellers. I will add the kit I have to my Amazon wish list (link in description). Pick which version you want though (110v or 220v).

Nice build. Just be a bit careful with Relays and Inductive (motor) loads generally they have two or three ratings so your 16A might actually be 5A in practice.

Brian, my spindle is comming. Thanks for the information. Now, i want to start offering my services, and would like to know How can I calculate the price of a machining job? Per minute?
@ProjectsbyBrian3 жыл бұрын
Nice! That is a great question and one that I'm not sure if have a good answer for. It really depends on the complexity of the job, tool changes, cycle time, etc. I would say get the machine up and running, and reliably, before starting to price out jobs. Just my opinion.

ever think about just shimming the 2x3 with aluminum can strips and tightening down?

instead of caring about flow, why not just add a thermocouple to the spindle? That way a glitch won't kill a job, only high heat would (an actual emergency)
