Turning a passion into something you can't really enjoy anymore, because you put so much time and effort in it, that you get burned out is one of the worst thing that can happen to anybody. I can fully relate and even injured myself because of anger, leaving me unable to enjoy my passion too. In retrospect it was a good thing, because I had to find other things to do than just following my passion. Huge respect for sharing your struggles; mental struggle gets more and more accepted and light shed upon, but it is still a huge step to talk about it openly. Yourself and your health is above everything. In my eyes it is more important to reach your goals being happy, rather than reaching your goal to be happy. Be yourself and people will like you and if they won't, what does it matter anyways? Do the things you want to do the way you want them to do and in the pace that lets you feel comfortable. I can't wait to see (I mean I can wait but you know what I mean) where your journey is taking you.

Dude, this was so damn relatable on so many levels. I've struggled for many years trying to be consistent with video game music guitar content. Life always got in the way. Even messed up my hand at one point in a similar way like you did lol, this is wild. I feel like I've been on a journey parallel to yours and it's nice to hear someone else having similar issues they had to face on their journey as well. Thanks for sharing, that isn't easy to share vulnerable things in front of a camera or audience, so your authenticity is appreciated. I totally relate to most of what you said. Trying to get videos out regularly and always upping the quality and your own internal standards can really burn you out if you aren't careful. I still like doing gear demos, but I have to remember to find an angle and a way to make it fun and interesting and not just another generic review. Even though I make negative money (considering gear buying) off my channel, it's still a good 10-20 hours a week on top of a full time job and it can be a lot! I've been thinking a lot about how I can be more efficient and have more fun with the whole process, so it isn't just another job, and I think that will hopefully be best for the audience too, but definitely prioritizing what you want to do and create should be most important. Be well, and learn to let go and relax, I know exactly how difficult that is!

Haha (sorry), exactly the same thing happened to me with a wall punch some years ago! I have the similar scars, etc. "Good" thing it’s right hand and not left, otherwise the playing would’ve been affected more. It’s okay to take things at your own comfortable pace. You have a great channel with some quality content. Do what you feel is the best for you right now. I’m sure people will understand. I won’t unsubscribe because I don’t feel the need to. I’ll just sit here patiently respecting the artist’s needs.

As for the KZbin… Well, it’s a place that favors bloggers, which are not always the same as artists. To be "successful", you have to be a jester of some sort to entertain people with a 5-seconds focus. Artist can’t always be comfortable with that race. And you’re a very capable musician and composer. You don’t have to pretend to be someone else, just be yourself. Trying to please KZbin’s algorithms will only wear you down, I suppose… Sending you the deepest respect and support on your journey! P. S. Your album absolutely rocks!)

First of all, I will NOT be unsubscribing. Second of all, you take as long as you need to do whatever you may need. This may be a long one but I want to say from that first Sonic Tribute I heard the other day, I knew you had something golden, your covers are truly special, the first thing I did hearing them was send them to my friends, you may or may not appease an algorithm, but you have a true talent, your covers the last, well not even a week have been all I have been listening too while modding games, I failed something earlier I spent a lot of money on but as soon as I turned on my pc and started listening, I was back in my usual good vibes mood. I appreciate that, thank you. I also want to say that I understand the grind mentality, I haven't myself played games in a month because I am modding them for others to play, you helped me recognise that such behaviour is not necessarily healthy. I hope you have a lot of fun playing video games and cherish spending time with friends and family. Thank you!

I'm sure like you, Sonic is something that just gives me this indescribable joy. It's everything to me and I have to remember to try to have to fun with these things. It's always good to take many breaks. Take a whole month or 2 break if you want to. Spend time with family for Christmas. Don't ever feel like you are letting us down because you didn't upload anything for a while. We all get burned out sometimes. Your happiness and passion come first. Screw the aligrotrim, and upload the contents you love doing, lol I love your Sonic music covers and I hope you'll do more of it in the future when your hand heals.

If you're a KZbinr for clicks, you'll always be worried about the algorithm. You should be making videos to share your passion. Your guitar playing is wonderful, and your videos are well-made. You should be proud. It's all about expectations. The KZbinr who enjoys making the video and gets 100 likes is a happy KZbinr. The KZbinr who sweats blood to please the algorithm to have 1000 likes and gets 750 is an unhappy KZbinr.
