I was looking for a more recent review with the upgrades Priority made to this bike, and I wasn’t disappointed. Good test on the gravel path

I really like the format of you describing the bike while actually riding it and showing it from all angles

Great review. Looking forward to your in-depth review of that Shimano hub. I have a Pinion P1.18 gearbox on my Co-Motion and it has the same stop pedaling to shift function. I've gotten so use to stopping to shift that I find myself doing it on my regular drivetrain bikes!

Thanks. I've never used pinion's internal shifting system, but I assume it's even better than Shimano's, based on price. Anyways stay tuned.

I started out watching this video for bike review, new bike day on Wednesday and noticed your on my most frequented trail! D&R canal! I look forward to taking the Apollo bike packing across the US.

Oh cool, yeah that’s my favorite gravel trail that is close enough to drive to, I’ve ridden that full trail in sections. I think the Apollo makes for a nice bike packing bike for sure

Hey Prentiss, nice review of a great bike. Thanks for telling us about the trail. I live in Connecticut and would make the trip for a nice 70 mile trail. I bought a Priority 600X and love it for all the reasons you like the Apollo. Great bikes at a decent price (compared to the competition). Thanks again and I subscribed to you channel. Have a great day, Steve

0:31 What other bike did you consider? There seems to be very few options, when it comes to gravel bikes with a beltdrive.

Bike looks sick with the orange cages and green bottle. I have the Priority 600, which is an amazing commuter, but I'm really thinking about getting an Apollo. Look forward to your future videos.
@PrentissC2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I usually go with regular black or silver cages, but the orange looks nice on this bike against the green. I have another video that I shot not long ago for this bike coming soon , once I get around to editing it.

Did you replaced that bar for something different?

Great Review, and definitely looking forward to the long term review! I do have a question though, I am also 6’2 but I am long legged and short torso. Do you think I would need an L or XL sized bike?
@EricofPhilly2 жыл бұрын
I’m 6’2” with long legs as well and got the XL. It fits perfectly. I’ve had the bike for 1.5 years and love it for city riding.

I already have mtb with gravel tires for city roads. Have you run into any issues with the bike?

You on the Delaware tow path?

where is that trail? Its amazing
@PrentissC Жыл бұрын
I agree! It's called the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park Trail in New Jersey, and in the video I'm doing a small section of it between Princeton and Trenton NJ.

Kinda wish I'd have seen these before pulling the trigger on my Surly. Only 800 miles in and I've destroyed another chain and cassette. I've lost the faith to stand up and crank hard fearing an inevitable chain jump.

Did you have to adjust the belt tension? I just bought one and it took a lot of force just to turn the crank until I lowered the belt tension. This is a heavy bike, it's a workout going uphill!
@PrentissC Жыл бұрын
I didn’t have to, my bike was setup by a bike shop so it was good to go, but I did have to loosen the belt on my other priority bike that was shipped straight to me in a box, but it wasn’t tough to adjust it. Yes like I said in the video, the internal hub doesn’t help make the bike light, just less maintenance.
@normanpotts94768 ай бұрын
so you have to stop peddling to change gears?
@PrentissC8 ай бұрын
Yes, that’s how the hub works, it was weird at first as someone who has ridden external gears for years, but I got used to it

Did you get the stem from Priority?
@PrentissC2 жыл бұрын
No, brought it through Amazon. I'm not sure if Priority sells stems.

Forget the stupid chamois. Get yourself some proper biker shorts, underneath your stylish ones, if needed. It makes a HUGE difference. As for the bar, just rotate that stock one back a little. You won't get comfortable with your wrists angled forward.

Great review. The hydraulics ruined it for me. I had enough hydraulics with 10 years on the flightline in the USAF. THANKS.

Реально крутой велосипед. Ничего лишнего. Особенно круто это ремённый привод.
