Like you I love following these old patterns but it does take a bit to get the proportions correct with modern thread sizes. This is a pretty flower.

Yes, some require a lot of adjustment to get the shape By the way, did you see the new Dior collection? They used an Irish crochet lace skirt for their bag advertisement, it is on their Facebook page, yesterday there was a cover picture
