The lyrics of the hit “Love Me Tender” have inspired a new children’s book by the King’s former wife, Priscilla Presley, called “Elvis Presley’s Love Me Tender.” She tells Kathie Lee and Hoda that the book was inspired by her twin 9-year-old granddaughters, who like Kelly Clarkson but always recognize their late grandfather’s songs.

Years ago, through a grade school book order, I purchased this book for my granddaughter. It was a paper back with beautiful, beautiful art work! It wore; we taped it, wore; we taped it again, etc. I was thrilled to find and buy it here today!!! That granddaughter is 22, now! 😎

This woman does not look or have the physical body of a 72 year old. She looks amazing! These women interviewing her looked kind of freaked out because she looks their age and she is supposed to technically be an old woman. I could care less with how she preserved her looks, but no one can deny that she really does look incredible. I am still floored as I watch the interview because she is not 72 years old to me. I see a woman in her late forties-early fifties.

I HATE how many of Elvis's FEMALE FANS are so unfairly critical of Priscilla. With a little research, l am personally saddened by any women who cannot understand the pain and confusion that she would have suffered, trying to fit in with Elvis's way of life - as a very young, naive women - who was seduced from 14 yrs of age!!!!! In this day and age he would have been considered a complete slieze. He more or less treated Priscilla as a doll, to be moulded by him, into the being he wanted her to appear as, and be. Apparently he got very angry with her, twice, when she left the bedroom without her makeup on. A young person can be flattered by all this attention, but as you evolve as a person, it's only natural to want some control of your own life. Can you imagine having all Elvis's friends, around them, the whole time - even on her honeymoon - for goodness sake!!!!!! How many women, do you know, would have put up with that??? We have to recognise it would have been an amazingly challenging marriage to survive in, for one so young, 10 yrs younger than her husband. AND for all Elvis's beauty, in all forms of his professional, and public life, there were many imbalances in his domestic life, which left a crack for the enemy to get in, and cause a lot of pain all round. It would have been enormously difficult, and in the end, became impossible, for her to navigate. I'm not going to go into all the crazy details here, but l would like to assume that any married women would have empathy for what her situation was, in a very peculiar domestic life. ELVIS seemed to treat Priscilla, like he would his mother - as some sort of goddess, that he shouldn't have a sexual life with!!!!!! How peculiar is that?????? He drove her into the arms of another man!!!!! PLUS those that want to blame her for the end of their marriage because of one affair. You are absolutely unbelievable!!!! How many affairs did Elvis have????? How many of you would have stayed in a marriage like that????? ELVIS loved touring, hence he was rarely home. All women should be able to connect to the loneliness, this would have created, for a young mum. PLUS the touring lifestyle lead to a rapidly increasing DRUG HABIT, which would have dramatically affected his personality. AND JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN'T LIVE WITH SOMEONE, DOESN'T MEAN YOU DON'T CONTINUE TO LOVE THEM. How many of us were not moved, and a bit confused, by the obvious connection between Elvis and Priscilla, in the photo showing them leaving the courthouse, after their divorce. MOST IMPORTANTLY - She deserves our gratitude, as fans, for how she has managed Elvis's Estate, allowing him to 'live on' thru his music and story. PLEASE REMEMBER, it was Elvis's dad, VERMEN, who appointed her to this incredible responsibility, knowing she would rescue/preserve it all for LISA MARIE. It would have taken an immense amount of courage, for one so shy, and inexperienced in a normal world - and just a little more than 30 yrs of age!!!!!!. She has amazingly, rescued a floundering estate!!! She could only have done it, because she had faith in Elvis's fans [us], because the majority of the media certainly weren't helping her, with the general picture they were painting, of Elvis - at that time. Im sure she is very well paid - and so she should be - but she has mostly done it all to preserve their daughter, Lisa's estate. AND this has enabled Lisa, to keep generously supporting Elvis's favourite charities. How good is that??? Elvis would be thrilled!!! I also feel greatly, for what LISA has had to learn to cope with, because of her extraordinary legacy. She's recently done some more recording, blending with her dad on some gospel songs, with 2 beautiful mentors, assisting her healing from her recent challenges. So fingers crossed [or lets Pray] it is enabling her to move closer to her dad, thru an increased understanding of our Lord, and Elvis's faith.
