I want some! I think I’m going to pick up 3 with my next paycheck. I just ordered a Bora7 and saw these on the site. They look soooo much nicer than dyna-kites, build quality wise. That’s what we had like these, back when there was a local kite shop here.

The Prism kites are well made and fly great!

Nice job! I have a 3 stack. Used to have a Trlby 6 pack. Do you still fly?

I still have all my kites but haven’t flown in a year or so. My life has been crazy busy with overtime work, family medical issues, moving houses, etc the last few years. My RC flying and kiting has been sidelined for quite a while but i look forward to getting everything sorted so I can get back to it!

Are you using the same line that came with Neutrino to fly all six ? I'm guessing 6 slows you down some and with the tail as well ? I just bought all 3 color (1 kite/ 2 stackers) and hoping the rain stops. 🙄

I bought the 6-stack as a complete setup from Dave at Kite Connection. He included a heavier line set to use when flying the full stack as it pulls pretty hard in a stiff wind. I’m thinking it’s 150-200# line. Also, I spec’d out a longer line(I think 120ft) to allow more room to maneuver the stack and draw larger lines across the sky. As a solo kite, the Neutrino is very quick and light to control. As a stack, it gets heavier and slower in response as you add more kites. I’ve flown mine as a stack of 3 a few times and it pulls noticeably harder with 6. I need a good 12-15 wind to get the 6-stack moving very well but the solo kite will fly well on the stock length lighter lines with much less wind. Note: I also like to fly a solo one on long lines(80ft or more) in high winds for big fun! I haven’t flown the stack in quite a while since my spare time has been limited. It does require more setup and takedown time on each outing. A rough landing can often end up with the wind blowing it all into a tangled mess, especially with the tails installed. You can spend 30-60 minutes sorting that out each time it happens. It has got me at least twice and ate up most of my allotted flying time. When it’s working, the stack is a thing of beauty to watch but looks more impressive from where bystanders are located to the side. As you can see in my POV video, from the pilot’s perspective, it basically appears as a single kite when in the air. Have fun! I have purchased several new kites this year that I haven’t been able to fly yet due to my crazy work schedule.

How do you like it? Decent pull or still light and nimble?
@TeeBeeZee4 жыл бұрын
Pulls fairly hard in a decent wind. Due to the complexity of setting up/tear down, I’ve only had the 6-stack out a few times. Takes more time for sure. I have only flown it in 10-12mph winds. Using 100ft lines to have some room for big turns. Beautiful in person! Best viewed from any angle other than POV.

Guess I'll have to take your word for it since the video didn't really show anything.

That's the view when flying the kites. Sorry to disappoint you. The best views of a stack are for spectators off to the side. My camera is set up as POV on my hat.
