We are missing the bento lunch box eevee full art card. Wh8ch comes in the japanese set. But we are going to get it as a special promo card for the ultra pro elite box that is coming out in May. Which some people point that out in the booklet that you get in etb

I’d imagine since there’s 2 Eevee SARs that we will likely get 1 on them. Of the 2, one of them is a one-off artwork by a pastry artist, not a TCG artists, I’d imagine that’s the one that gets cut. Maybe we get it as a promo later on, perhaps an Eevee UPC

Not just the SIR, but the eeveelution Pokeball and Masterball might not be coming in prismatic also. This is because the normal eeveelution cards from the main set is getting cut as promos, meaning the main set would not have the common/uncommon/holo rare version of them as a result, which is why I had that theory. Since thats the case, I am kinda suspecting they are promos for the super premium collection box releasing in May for Prismatic, and that is bonkers to me. Of course, this is just my theory, but I feel like it made sense, and if that's the case, prices for the japanese pokeball/masterball would go bonkers.

The most significant difference imo will probably be the lack of all the regular eeveelution cards in the set, as they will be promos. Which means they will not be getting master ball holos in the set either. Very curious what master ball cards will be our chases then. It seems like Eevee is the only one left of them to get one...🤔 but like you said Ross, the main set is going to be way different! So probably tons of different masterball holo cards. Also, what about the 9 starter deck generation cards that would be part of prismatic? Some of those ex's apparently will come as promos in some tins but what about the rest of them...

So I got 2 Of the Japanese Booster Boxes for this set. And Every pack had atleast a EX or Higher. Is that normal? Because I never seen that before in my life and was so flabbergasted, because I never opened a Japanese Booster box before until this Exciting set was coming out. I pulled an EX from all 20 Packs. And 2 had SIR’s (I think they’re called). I Luckily got the Full Art Glaceon and the Water Mask Ogerpon.

There's definitely more of a special feeling to getting one of the prismatic hits since, like you said, the hit rate is much lower. That's why I prefer Prismatic - for scarcity reasons.

Imagine if 1 in 10 pack has SAR in english, and rest of packs has EX minimum. It would make sense since that's how japanese set is, but for english it would be unprecedented and pretty mental. People would lose their minds. That's probably unlikely, so that's why reduction in different pulls. More realistically, they reduced number of EXs because it's just too many different ones to pull, so they are toning set down to balance out for the dud packs. Even with 25 EX cards it will be stupid hard to pull SAR chase (25 EX + 32 SAR + SR trainers + ...). My guess is that 1 in 2 packs will be a hit, which is still more than any english set so far, but far worse than japanese set. This makes sense considering the situation with ARs in JP and EN sets. JP box guarantees the ARs and EN set ARs command much higher price as a result of not being as common. Both JP and EN buyers are happy with this arrangement, so there's no reason same modus operandi wouldn't be applied for this set as well.
