Not totally sure what there is to celebrate: 1.) The main release hasn't even taken place, the dip could simply also be there because release is coming. 2.) 151 is a "hyped" set but the single cards can't compare at all with what Prismatic will probably have pricewise. 3.) I doubt that we will "see the product everywhere". PkMn has enough other sets to print and with every hyped product, I can only imagine how massiv the scalping will be. And as long as people pay enormous prices on the Eeveelution SIRs, I don't see it coming down substantially. 4.) Let the market settle.

In this situation we are in, I disagree with the idea that people should be "leaving some for others" if they find it in stores. With a product this hot, there's a 99.9% chance the local scalper is just going to take everything if you don't. If you actually want to make a difference in your local area, the only way is to buy up the product yourself and re-sell it at MSRP, with purchase limits, removing plastic, etc... If you want to combat the scalpers you gotta put in the work... because they already are. There's just no world where people are going to be reasonable about this release and pass up instantly doubling their money... My plan was to buy it out and re-sell at retail price at my local indoor flea market booth 1 per person. Unfortunately someone beat me this morning and bought out my entire Walmart stock and immediately put it on FB marketplace for more than 2x MSRP, this all just really sucks especially for anyone new to the hobby.

Unfortunately, my guess is the prices will come down for a week then when the product dries up and the reprint isn’t on shelves it won’t matter and etbs will be back to $120-$150 with restocks being instantly purchased.

Maybe. The promise of more will settle many people and they will not jump on those secondary market prices. Things have a way of leveling out. Well into 2024 pokemon 151 was available and not spiked up in price. The end of life on that set is what explode the prices and even with blooming waters it will hold strong. We may see Prismatic do okay over the next 3-6 months.

I got 32 cases of Pokemon center ETB’s and even tho they were all purchased in 2 seconds the shipping dates are all across the board. 8 cases will be here tomorrow supposedly and 5 more on Saturday then 12 on the 22nd etc.. all of the other product I got should be here tomorrow and I’ve already gotten some.
