Iron Maiden: Paul Di'Anno Part 2

Thank you Paul for 2 of the greatest metal albums ever. I am 43 years old, been listening to Maiden for a long time. The first two albums are still to this day my go to albums. I only wish the sound quality was better. I hope you enjoy a well earned retirement..

There are also people to whom albums with DiAnno are relics of metal, they put those 2 first albums on pedestal as if it was a sainthood. Me too consider 2 first albums of Iron Maiden as a different story than all the next, they are great as an unity, I don't concentrate on particular songs of them. I only particularize the songs from next albums, which have 2-3 great songs and I ignore the rest of songs. But the sound quality of Killer is very good compared to first album of Iron Maiden from 1980. They were punkish so they didn't take care about the quality of sound, maybe they thought that the music is more important than the quality os sounding

I got to see Paul in Asbury Park, NJ with Judas Priest (And a few other shows). I'm still pissed about him not being in the band... 2 of the greatest albums EVER!!! I also loved the solo stuff. (BattleZone was awesome...) The Land that God Gave to Cain!!!

I love Paul, but it annoys me when musicians say "writing" instead of composing. It sounds rather muso arsey!

Because that's what it is. Nobody ever says they "compose" anymore. On the back of every record/cassette/cd I own it always says "written by: xxx"..not once has it said "composed"
