LMAO it makes sense. Not just because Christine is kissing another man, but also because Raoul realized she _truly loved_ Erik. She _cared_ for him and forgave him despiting his many mistakes. Raoul wanted her to hate him, something it's more explicit in the novel, but she actually loved him. You can say it wasn't romantic love, but it was love neitherless. And that hurted Raoul's egocentric heart. Unlike him, Erik actually recognized he f*** up everything and wronged with Christine.

@@mieshocked1450 In ALW I feel it is definitely intended for Christine to have a romantic attraction to the Phantom…their is a reason Webber changed the Forehead kisses in the Novel to two full blown kisses on the Lips…he wanted to make it a real love triangle with Christine torn between the two men, even after everything the Phantom did, she is still sexually attracted to him. Now how deep that attraction goes and whether or not it crosses over into love really depends upon the actress playing Christine, but I don’t believe Christine’s draw towards Erik is remotely platonic in the Stage Show, not at all.

22:29 OMG MY COUNTRY BRAZIL! ❤🇧🇷 What i love about the brazilian translation is that Christine sings "não estás mais só", which means "you're not alone ANYMORE"! Christine was _willing_ to be with Erik, she _loved_ him, he _CHOSE_ him! But he chose to break apart because he thought he was too mentally damaged to make her happy! Sure, this is implied in the original american lyrics and many other translations, but the Brazilian Portuguese let it much clearly! ❤

Everyone's discussed Kelly and her two Phantoms in this (both of which deliver equally heart-wrenching renditions of the kiss, might I add), but I also adore Ali and Ben (9:18). The way she jumps with no hesitation, making it an incredibly spontaneous decision for Christine (which is often not how the moment is played), and the way he stands there with a look of sorrow on his face, both dumbstruck and remorseful, is absolutely brilliant.

Usually E/C just either stand still with their lips locked or maybe they move their heads but these were actually enjoying the feel of each other's lips.Though it helps I guess that The Phantom doesn't have the prosthetic lips he usually does. Since she most likely got pregnant the first time he took her to his lair, they were familiar with each other and the kiss should have been more passionate including his hands touching her lovingly. They both should have acted like lovers.

It's EXTREMELY unlikely Christine got pregnant when she got taken to his lair: in the musical six months pass between Act 1 and Act 2 (in the restaged tour it's an entire year) so unless Christine had a miscarriage (or was hiding a child if we're talking the restaged tour), she should definitely have been showing by Masquerade. If this is a reference to LND, the original version stated that sex happened before Christine's wedding night while the current version does not say when they had sex, though it's implied that it's after the events of the original musical.
