I was C.O. 33 years ago in Pennsylvania. I did my job but I hated seeing officers power tripping acting like nuts. I’m a woman so my experience was bearable, inmates would call out my name when storms would frequently knock out the power so I could get back to the bridge safely, certain ones would look for me and escort me so I didn’t get snatched in a cell. But I was still watching they assess too😅😂😂😅😅. We were at an old massive prison housed bout 5,000. Overcrowding. I knew lots of dudes from my neighborhood. I was kool and decreed to the ones I was close with was the only thing I’m bringing in is street snacks and I let them bum cigarettes. But yeah, there were a nice number of C.o.s that were chill, but oh my Lawd, when we got the Nutts on deck it was a whole different vibe. Sometimes they would create a ruckus where it could have been deescalated. I can’t tell you how my heart sings when the “NUTT” Officers in these stories get “ LATE”, cause the majority of the times they brought it on themselves.😊😊😊

Jef only meats you can get in commissary are things like summer sausage, jerky, and pickled sausage. Along with chili. So it would be very different. You’re not cooking with ingredients that are normally used to make what he’s making so it would be a very difficult task for someone who doesn’t know how those flavors go together to compete with him even if they are a chef. It would be very different.

@@senseibull8657 My point exactly. That is the prep method. Knowing how these things go together. I can only speak for Ohio, but EVERYTHING he had there is stuff you can get on commissary. Which is sold at stores on the outs. That would be the equivalent of going to a fancy ass kitchen and putting Banky up against Gordon Ramsey and be like 'make this filet mignon dish, these potato's as a side and a cake for dessert, but we won't give you any instructions. Here's the ingredients. And go.' Banky is an amazing cook, no doubt. But he wouldnt know how many eggs, how much flour, how much butter, etc.... For the cake. Hed wouldn't do horrible im sure, but he wouldn't do great either.

I find Joe's guest's are becoming all the same person to me and I can hardly tell one convict from another. It's all the same to me nowadays. As a professional chef who’s been in the industry for over 20 years, I made this exact meal for my family , following step by step, and it couldn’t have come out better! Everyone absolutely loved it! I know this is an expensive prison meal but when you make this on the outside, you can still tell how amazing this is. Be sure to market (target) College students with that COOKBOOK, as well! Those darn kids live for RAMEN! lol I guess they have to because after they pay for all their expensive textbooks, tuition and dwelling cost they only have a few bucks left for FOOD. That is "why" they binge on cheap PIZZA, POP & RAMEN! Yes, definitely line the bookshelves at the college gift shop & book store. They will use their last few "work-study" shopper dollars to get a copy of Banky's cookbook... so that they can make the delicious "affordable-away-from-home" meals that Banky makes. PLUS, students can have MICROWAVES in their dorm rooms (at most colleges nowadays). But NEVER stoves and ovens! College sounds like PRISON when it comes to cooking arrangements. LOL
