Rehabilitation is one of the many reasons for prisons. Prison is mainly about Retribution. Most would agree that a murderer should live a life around imprisonment, rape, violence, and danger, rather than given the opportunity to be educated. I'd say the prison system is quite obviously the best way to deal w/ criminals justly. But.. no victim, no crime. Drug users have medical problems and should be offered voluntary help for their medical problems. It's like throwing cancer patients in cages.

Why blur the criminals face but not the officers? The officers could have a hit out on them for what? Just cuz they chose their career path

@fizwizx People are responsible for their own actions. Dogs do not have the ability to choose their actions. You're comparing apples and oranges. There is no excuse for someone committing evil, no matter how society treats him. Men who break the law must be punished.

I've been in the Georgia prison system, infact, I've been in this very K-2 dorm at Smith S.P., and yes, these correctional idiots expect for you to address them as "ma'am" and "sir".

@1995bbboy i'd say the more racist part of your comment was calling them african american, when many of them could be african british, or hatian. not like i really care, but it generalizing all black people as either "africans" or "african americans" is more racist than PC.

prisoners harm other prisoners: cops meander over and might put a stop to it prisoners harm cop: cops run to the rescue and punish to the maximum degree allowable I hate occupational loyalty over human loyalty.

"Sir" and "Ma'am" isn't an offensive term...guess what? I (and millions of other people) who work a job have to call all of my customers that on a daily basis for a paycheck. Is it disrespectful to me or does it degrade me? Not in any way. In the south, it is a common expression that used to be the normal for even kids to call their parents before this garbage generation came about. I suppose the solution is already obvious: don't do the crime and you don't do the time. It is meant to be hard.
@rajeangallagher5043
@rajeangallagher5043 5 жыл бұрын
Last time I checked most adults don't refer to others as ma'am and sir unless you are down south. That went out in the 1970s. Now it's used only as a title of respect to nobility or someone who is way more powerful than you. There's no doubt this is a Power issue and meant to verbally keep inmates feeling "less than" worthy of being an equal in any way. BTW, I was raised to, and still say Ma'am and Sir when it's been earned.
