I love how when someone is delivering a meal to solitary that the officer always says "do it quickly and no talking" and then walks away so that the prisoners can have a nice long conversation, and then comes back to criticise the prisoner for taking too long or talking. If they just stood there while the meal was delivered it would be all over in 5 seconds.

Biggest problem with the show is people in the revolving door Lizzy leaves Lizzie comes back ,Doreen leaves Doreen comes back ,Bea leaves Bea comes back Judi leaves Judi comes back Margo leaves Margo comes back ..all right already. I know everyone loves these characters ,but you have to decide :either keep them in the show or write them off. one gets tired of all of the farewell parties and all of the "im never coming back to this place" comments .well ...you get my point

Bea's talk with Judy was a high point in this series. It's interesting to see how far those characters came from when Judy first walked into Wentworth and Bea and Judy disliked each other.

Regarding the comments on the "poor" lighting, I feel that the low lighting adds a dramatic effect, the way that black and white does, through its use of shadow. There is one scene in one of the earlier episodes, I believe from season 2, where Vera is shown in close-up haranguing a prisoner in one of the hallways, and her face is so steeped in shadow that her eyes are completely hidden. In that moment she resembles something right out of a Hitchcock movie--the darkness of Vera, in all her full frenzied glory.

Bea and Sandy versus Marie and her heavies is the show at its most juicy in years. Bea needed some competition years ago.......and there is Peterson mixing it as well (though Bea and Marie are on to her). The show is at its height. What a shame we missed out on Doreen's kicking from Barnhurst

Barnhurst prisoners had a soft spot for Bea's hatred for drugs etc but after Bea's Barnhurst mates found out about Doreen not helping Bea with one of her kidneys after getting tested and Doreen was a perfect match for a kidney for Bea who was suffering from kidney malfunction. Doreen agreed to be a kidney donor for Bea and then decided in the last minute that she no longer wanted to help Bea. And they decided to no longer talk or speak to each other after what Doreen did to her. Anyway word had gotten back to Bea's Barnhurst mates about what Doreen did to their friend Bea Smith they decided that Doreen needed to be taught a lesson about making a promise to Bea and then breaking it. So that's why Doreen Burns got the bash from Bea's mates at Barnhurst and now Doreen is back in Wentworth being transferred from Barnhurst back to Wentworth like Judy Bryant was. Just wondered if Marie Winter will be re transferred back to Barnhurst from Wentworth that would get rid of Marie's little drugs business. Everyone knows how Bea feels about drugs. She hates drugs. After her daughter Debbie Smith died from an overdose on drugs. And Bea has had a huge hatred for drugs since.

Judy can be so pessimistic at times. She needs to start thinking more rationally about her release. Okay, so its a pain she will have to miss the wedding, but she still has her taxi driving license to help her start work and has an option of a place to stay with Pauline, even if only till she gets on her feet. But more than that she will be regaining her freedom again and that alone should make it worthwhile to be more positive. Marie gets better and better with every episode. Her character is so entertaining to watch and she is played by such a good actress. Maybe this time Jim will stick by his decision, if he had done that last time then Janet may have just got the message sooner.
