The officers were really silly with the Kathy Hall situation. There had been several murder attempts and she made it very clear that she was afraid to leave; because somebody was trying to kill her. They did nothing to protect her.

You're not wrong, but the writers will do this again and again. For instance with Dr Kate, she informed to the police yet no officer thinks it's a big deal, when the women find out she was informing on them.

@@markxxx21 I made several comments about this already but as the show goes on and becomes more complex I think the writers started to lose their sense of continuity I don't know if they had a head writer or someone who could oversee the entire storyline but you can see things starting to unravel right about now. In an attempt to keep the viewers interest having multiple storylines you need someone to oversee everything
@ajs41

@@eugenedegeorge5084 The main thing is that we're watching all the episodes in quite a short space of time whereas in reality they were spread over a long time, and also hardly anyone had video recorder machines at the time so the writers didn't need to bother making sure the storylines matched up with 12 or 18 months earlier.

@@ajs41 hello Andy. yes you're absolutely right . we see things one episode after another without realizing the time frame when those episodes were shot ,and since they were doing two shows a week that could create confusion . That being said video recorders or not if they had someone coordinating the overall storylines it might have helped. it's just an observation not a criticism: it's like the old saying goes hind- site is 20/20. Plus the show was done almost 40 years ago and we're also looking at it with that perspective . I think that's what makes it fascinating.

ms velasca Speaking of Vera and Grace, some people on here and even Bob Morris himself said to Meg at home, a while back that Vera and Stuart Gillespie would have made a good couple as well. 😄

I love how they've repurposed the familiar Wentworth bricks for the outside of Vera's apartment. They just painted them grey.

I like Vera’s home and the outside part of the set with the front door, so they don’t have to film any outside shots of a real house/apartment block. 😃

1:18 The very first appearance of this hallmark Prisoner incidental music (Computer Crime by George Fenton), although in edited form here.

Also it's a coincidence that this was the last episode to feature the music only version of the theme tune at the end of the show. After this episode every episode featured the vocals version.

Never mind Terry and Vera, it should be that swine Grace and Vera that get it on together! They are like two peas in a pod and all they're ever good at is being a bully! Perhaps Alison is satisfied now she has got away from the others. She is living in a fantasy world if she believes she is of better class. Good to see Erica put Grace in his place and give him a much needed reminder on how prisoners should be treated!! Love the music at 1:18, it brings back great memories of some of the stories ahead.

Don's going through a rough time at home and at work, and when he thought he had an understanding neighbour helping out, she turns out to be a rogue and a psycho! She was the one using him in his vulnerable state! Totally know that type! They make you sick lol

When are they going to give Julie some lines? We see her all the time but just nods and never says a word! - It's always Wendy that gets them lol

She has said 'yes' four times over the course of three episodes (they were a while back). I am wondering if there is some Actors Equity type rule that allows non-speaking characters to say one word without having them become speaking characters, which presumably would mean they would have to be paid more. Poor mute Julie!

Why was Davo shocked when told the hit and run victim was Kathy Hall, when she'd already been told it was an ex prisoner, she knew Hall was being released and she knew that Hall had been terrified of being murdered when released? I swear, the writers made everyone from the governor to Bea uncharacteristically oblivious and stupid when it came to Kathy's predicament.
