In some ways I like her even better than Bea but in some ways I like Bea better, they are both excellent though. Some people don't seem to realize what actually makes a good top dog and they like people like Lou Kelly or Reb in the position and that, my dears, is simply bad judgement. Oliver M Well, the characters in this series are not all tough and strong mentally and emotionally, like say, Bea, Myra, Lou and even Lexie, so it reflects people in real life even to this day. The other thing is that Lynn in her first stint was innocent like Jennifer is here too. We saw Jennifer playing the piano in the drawing room, when her grandmother's tapping (with her walking stick) for help on the ceiling stopped suddenly. Then she came upstairs to find her grandmother with a beaten and bloodied head because of the table lamp, which she naively picked up, leaving her fingerprints when the intruder must have worn gloves. We also know that before her grandmother was murdered, she was almost smothered. She shouted for help and told what happened. She told Jennifer to check the wardrobe and apparently the window, not believing her grandmother, thinking she had a bad dream, but the window had a part of the curtain caught in it, so an intruder had gotten in and then back out again.

and well she should, you need to treat everyone equally to a point, but you also need to realize that some are a cut above the others and make some allowance for that not make it obvious of course but give some leeway, believe them, cut them a little slack etc. For example Myra Desmond is far above someone like Ruth Ballinger or Lou Kelly and a far far better person and deserves better treatment.

How old is Jenny? How does she not understand why she's in jail and why they can't just "let her go" simply because she claims she shouldn't be there. I can tell her incessant "you don't understand I shouldn't be here" whining is going to piss me off very quickly. Also, note how she's never once mentioned the fact that her grandmother claimed to have been almost murdered by an intruder the night before, and how she didn't believe her. Instead of saying "I don't know if I did it, I'm so confused," she could have said "it's all my fault, she swore someone tried to kill her last night and I wouldn't believe her and now she's dead." It might at least have put some doubt in Grace's mind. But no, as usual in Prisoner, characters fail to offer the most obvious defense when they're accused of something.
