My steering wheel controls weren't working. I just bought the car. They had replaced the steering wheel with a beautiful lexus type wooden wheel (It didn't have the bluetooth controls so I suspect they tried replacing those too.) Horn works, cruise works... so I was hoping it was not clockspring... but it looks like it must be. This video made it possible for me to try to fix it myself. I ordered new controllers for both sides... Clockspring is a little more work. but I think I am going to give it a shot. Thanks again for helping me to decide to give it a try. This video was extremely helpful.

Nice and informative video, thank you! However when I want to get the silver plastic part off (at 5:00) it just doesn't come off (and it is not visible in the video how you did it). Besides the 2 screws something is holding it at the steering wheel rim side. How can I remove it?

so have 2 questions. I have a 2017 pruis v . it will alert you if you are leaving the lane or of you may have a front collision. but the sound is slight compared to the radio being on. is the a mod I can make to have it come through the radio or make it louder? the other question is that ....my car will automatically break if I am not paying attention (very cool) but is there a mod to add the (keeping the car in its lane) I already have the lane change warning. thanks

Maybe if you cut out the old pad with a razor and tried gluing the new pad skin in it could work but depends how well you can do it

Why was replaced 1st off? The reason why I asked is because on my previous the right side button that controls trip is no longer working but the bottom ones to control the air conditioning works. So I'm not sure if the clock needs to be replaced or if just the buttons need to be replaced.

Sir I'm thinking to buy a Toyota prius . I'm confused about some cars have voice control button in steering wheel and some doesn't have . You're doesn't have voice controll button . You said it's 3rd generation . Sir I like to know what manufacture year is it and trim level(prius one, prius two, prius three ...)? And sir is it equipped with cruises controll when you buy it or you add it after when you buy . This helps me a lot if you can inform me about this . Sorry for my English mistakes .😊❤🔥

Prius 3 . No voice control but it did come with cruise control . It’s a 2010.

In Toyota website you can type your VIN and get all the information about the vehicle.specially the year and trim level . Otherwise they look similar .
