Actually "the beach" you mentioned was just around the corner. It was filmed at Maya Bay in Phi Phi Islands. Bet there will be a lot of tourist tho because it is one of the major attractions for both Phuket and Krabi.

Yes that famous beach is nearby. Its been closed though because of damage and pollution. The whole area is lovely so there are plenty of other islands and beaches to see instead.

We actually just asked some other travellers on the beach if we could go along with them and share the cost. They were happy to share their boat with us and we all had a lot of fun 😁 There are booking offices on the street up from the beach and there are a few different companies that do the boat tours.

Its actually more like 'private boat tour: island hopping'...can see how that could be confusing 🤔 Not sure there is anywhere in Thailand that is actually private anymore!
