If you are looking for a slice of paradise in Phuket without the insane crowds of Patong, Kata or Karon, make sure you check out Maikhao Beach on the north west side of the island. It has substantially less foot traffic, but is just as stunning of a beach. As for where to stay, we were very kindly invited by Maikhao Dream Villa Resort and Spa to come and stay a few nights and experience everything their hotel had to offer! It is an absolutely stunning property with 22 different villas, all having their own private pools and being the only beachfront property. Maikhao is like an extended stay hotel for business travelers. Sumptuous with high class accommodations, delicious food and a private beach.
