Love to live permanently in one of these custom rail cars.

It would be great if the private jet crowd would get into private varnish as a new status symbol, it could boost train travel. Greetings from Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

The observation deck kind of looks like the one from The Polar Express. I love it. :)

I slowed the speed down to 50% so I could get a good look at this lovely and cleverly designed sleeper car. Trains are such a glorious way to see (and feel) America. I prefer them to any other way of traveling.

The days of riding a private are unfortunately gone

Garrett O actually not really. You can still ride private cars, just new restrictions that are not favorable

Is there some national inventory of all America's famous private cars...? I curious of two private cars ( from different eras), that were Anheuser Busch cars...

I would love to buy that

very nice, but where did all of the electricity come from to run the refrigerators, toasters, heat the water ? How did this all work ???
@johnsuscheck2 жыл бұрын
The car had it's own generator and it had Head End Power
@jackson44042 жыл бұрын
The energy can be generated by a connector to the train's wheels.

That observation deck needs a complete reworking. It looks cheap and shoddy in its present condition.

A beautiful car. Well, except for the interesting observation deck conversion.... I bet Harry would be sad to see his train being sold, but Joel does things differently.

if the day's of ridding private cars are over what will people do with all these beautiful cars , after Ringling Brothers went out what will become of all the cars they had ? I thought we would see even more. seems amtrak would be glad to work with the owners

Agree. Maybe Amtrak needs a little "push." As in, "You need to start figuring out ways to make some money on your own. The American People are getting sick and tired of subsidizing you to the extent that they are. One easy way to make some bucks is to go back to charging private rail car owners to pull them behind you." But our Law Makers are not really known for having backbones, among certain other body parts. So the probability of this actually happening is probably similar to that of winning Powerball.
