I wasxa public school teacher. My son went to public school; my daughter went to Parochial school. One of her classmates had a father who was a medical doctor. He donated 36 computers to the school. I was lucky i could dredge up tuition for her. Guess whose daughter got to be May Queen? (Hint: not mine.)

Damn right you own them. Kids are property of the parents until such time they are taken by the state or distributed with the other assets in a divorce

the problem wiht public schools is the decades long war that the republicans have been fighting against education. republicans have been defunding schools for decades and attacking teachers and all educaton as "elite": this leads to idiots thinking their stupidity is as valid as people who actually studied. that is why morons follow trump and why morons took advice from politicians and propagandists instead of scientists in topics like the pandemic and global warming.
