We were poor so at my house we were always at least a generation behind because at the time computers were too expensive so we relied on hand-me-down computers and printers.....and so this ugly monochrome DOS-only computer was our first one, along with a dot matrix printer that made a lot of noise when you printed...print anything on a dot matrix now and the noise will probably scare people thinking there's a banshee around LOL! @@necrosim ...Well, good photographers dont send their rolls to a photomart, they develope their own photos! You may consider photo development as an area of opportunity. My father liked to take artistic photos as a hobby and he took a small room in our house that was being used as a storage for mops, brooms etc, and tranformed it into a photography dark room. He had the trays, hangers, and the basic equipment for photos development (sorry, I dont know the names of the equipment). And he learned how to develop his own material. Its just an idea

My dad worked as a professional photographer that still used a camera with "the cape", and required the photographer to use a hand held air bulb to open the shutter. He had to time the picture himself. And this was in 1963.

Too young to remember negatives? I was still using film cameras into the mid 2000s. This guy is older than I am, he definitely remembers film. Millions of people never used digital cameras. Instead, they made the jump from film to smart phones when they became relatively ubiquitous in the 2010s.
