"The moral, here, Snafu, is the harder you woik, the sooner we're gunna beat Hitler, that joik." - The Technical Fairy, 1943

I found I am quite fond, of Seusses new style, he helped sure pummel, them Nazi's a while. Wish he was still here, and his wisdom wuld rail, or the fascists will win and democracy fail. So don't be a stooge for ol Putin, that fink, because those who back BS, like Hitler, they stink.

wel having gone through all that mess, the hardest part of the military is the constant bullying nonsense you have to put up with... it was a great relief when the day finally came I no longer had to deal with that...
@Limrasson Жыл бұрын
That sounds odd, shouldn't you normally get past the hazing period?
@lewis7315 Жыл бұрын
@@Limrasson It has nothing to do with hazing like in college...... its lots darker... petty officers were expected to intimidate, threaten bully their sibbordinates... that was called propper leadership... its always been that way...and human nature being what it is, many superiors loved the power it gave them over other people... only those who have gone through that experience can ever understand it...

@@lewis7315 Well, I haven't been a soldier, but my dad was drafted and he has fond memories, like it was rough but his stories are always nice. But of course it wasn't in the US, it was in pre USSR collapse soviet block Hungary. But I understand that different people fit into different kind of groups, one huge positive not having mandatory service anymore.
@lewis7315 Жыл бұрын
@@Limrasson that situation common to everyone had nothing to do with fitting into groups... I served in the Coast guard 1966-70
@Limrasson Жыл бұрын
@@lewis7315 What I've meant is that others might take the bullying part differently. And that the officers above you have a huge effect on how well you adjust. But if you say that there was a lot of unnecessary pointless bullshit that was, let's say, driven by the ego of senior officers then I'll believe that too.
