The taxes must be as stunning as the chateau. God bless them for preserving a most beautiful piece of grand history. I am awe struck.
@alexandrubaginean73694 ай бұрын
A government who asks taxes from this property does not deserve to have it, If it were mine I would have demolished it simply because a society who applies taxes over history does not deserve it.
@Clairettte-zi5lj4 ай бұрын
They are 100% deductible of your income tax if the castle is opened to the public for free (75% if it is a paid entrance). And if you don't open it to the public at all, you can still deduct 50% of the cost

The information available about Château du Lude does not include details on the taxes associated with owning or maintaining the château. Here are some key points that might be relevant but do not address taxes specifically: Ownership and Maintenance The Château du Lude has been in the same family for over 260 years, currently lived in by Count Louis Jean de Nicolay and his wife, Countess Barbara25. Financial Aspects While there is no information on taxes, the château generates revenue through tourism, with visitors paying for entry to the house and park. The prices range from €6 for children to €12 for adults for a combined visit to the house and park1. Historical and Cultural Significance The château is a significant historical and cultural site, which might imply certain tax benefits or exemptions for historical preservation, but this is not explicitly mentioned in the available sources. For specific information on taxes related to Château du Lude, you would need to consult French tax laws and regulations regarding historical properties or contact the owners directly.

I would imagine that since it's a historical building that it may be exempt from taxes. However what I can't fathom is the upkeep, maintenance, and restoration costs. I'm not sure how the aristocracy works these days, but if the same family has lived there for 300 years I would imagine that they're most likely not concerned about money. 😂
@aaronjennings8385Ай бұрын
@@jenniferhill9072 I'm wondering if the renovation itself isn't exempted or underwritten by a non-profit with tax exempt status?

I hope the library is climate controlled to preserve the books. Beautiful lady leading tour of her wonderful, historic home. I love that the home has its own fruit garden that supplies some of the food for the chateau. I also love that you pointed out that families entertained themselves with music and plays, etc. That was actually passed all the way down to American middle class families. My sis was married to a wealthy man…and I remember, after dinner, each person taking a turn singing a favorite song or two by the piano. These wealthy people could all play piano and could remember many tunes. I loved visiting and relaxing after dinner with them, singing along to old Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald standards. What fun. I’d want to live there just to be able to work in the gardens!

What a splendid Chateau! Inside out! Chimney mantels, parquet floors, Master Woodwork! Furniture, elaborate Dormer Windows and Chimneys, and much, much more! What a heartfelt warm and comfortable dining room! and to know you still use this Kitchen for making preservings! What a happy family gathering this must be every summer! How amazing, a Kiddneushaped Table, Never seen this before and am touched to know the WHY of this shape! Ohh I can feel, you must love your Chateau very much! Now I d'have a little question, how come that Antoine Roy (so says the speaker),.... "unfortunately died without a descendent", and then later says had "his daughter marry Marquis de Talouette" ? Hm... did I must have missed out on some part? Thank you so much for your Video!

😳 It's true that every time I discover a chateau thanks to you,I am impressed as they are all fantastic,but this time I am genuinely Lost for words! It's absolutely incredible. Majestic. I was watching with open mouth from start to end. I stopped,I zoomed different parts staring at details. Every cm of the chateau is extraordinary. The styles,details,those warm colours,the systems that she is explaining in different parts,the history...the library-O my God...the linen room,the dining room used every day,the bedrooms,the kitchen/ one of my favourite parts in every chateau/,those stunning stairs,floors,ceilings,original furnitures with the spirit of old times. The attention to detail and ornaments is beyond incredible. I am so impressed, I can't even organise my thoughts. It's so incredible to be able to see rooms and private rooms, that are usually not open for public,or just very rare as it was said. Those old clothes/dresses,the uniforms with colors of the chateaux are so rare to see. Countess Barbara de Nicolaÿ is remarkable! It was very generous of her, to open the doors of certain parts of the castle for us to see. Thank you,So Chateaux, for this amazing episode. From today, one of my dreams/plans is to visit Chateau du Lude!
