my first comment was before watching the video and reading the lyrics afterwards now I just wanna bring my impressions first of all I'm a little bit sad because I loved the going price for home song and lyrics so much and now I know that is written from that ugly perspective. I used to listen to this song when I was away from my hometown because of college :( it has a special place in my heart anyways but the meaning from the story ruins it a little bit also this album brings me back to a lot of sweet and good memories so it's kinda disappointing to me that this is the actually background for all the lyrics like, the melody and the songs and the feelings that I got listening to it in the past doesn't connected at all with the story, you know? also, I kinda hate horror and gore so this kinda stuff is definitely not for me anyways, I still love the album. thank you so much for sharing the story also, I would like to say that I listen to the track "easter" religiously every year at Easters morning and again before going to sleep. I've been doing this for years. it's so special to me keep up with the good work. I would love to see a review about the other stuff from prize fighter infenrno (half measures and the city introvert)

@@BernardoMuneiro My explanation for the Going Price for Home is absolutely just my own interpretation!! I had a hard time with that one as it definitely was not clear how it fit into the concept. So, I could definitely be wrong about it! Don’t let it color your perception of the song. Also, the thing about Claudio’s music is it has multiple layers on which to explore and experience the music. If the concept for the story isn’t for you, just ignore it. Your personal affiliations with the song will always be more valuable.

Loved this! Thank you! Onto the tarot: The Hermit: Retreating from the masses: self-reflection. Inner wisdom. The Hanged Man: Diving deep into inner wisdom. Doing what must be done for gnosis. New perspective. Death: Change. Putrefaction (decay). Death must come before rebirth. Justice: Equilibrium. Balance. Cause & Effect. Devil: Trapped in things we can escape, but choose not to. Now, I believe that Claudio may have chosen these cards based on surface value, instead of the deeper lore of each card. So, I had to put the deeper stuff aside when I first got this album. Also, my brief descriptions of each card are just that: brief 🤣 78 planets, but there's also 78 tarot cards in a full deck 😉

If i remember correctly, wayne andrews is a victim of the brother but is a ghost haunting his wife, but didn't realize he was haunting her. An only gunner is able to see him. I'll try to find the video of claudio explaining it. Martha is the perspective of Easter and I wanna say who watches the watchmen is through the brothers perspective with Cecilia captured. It's been soo many years, all we had was theories an vids of claudio explaining songs at shows 😂 I gotta check out the new comics. Just saw claudio perform prize songs tonight! It was great. So it seems like who watches the watchmen is about how crappy the town is after (I assume) killing the brothers’ mother. And how they handled everything. Maybe the rage of the brothers. Easter sounds like it’s about Cecilia’s mother, running away from something/someone at 17 with child. And then 78 seems to be Jesse talking about how HE wrote the story and created the characters to hurt Martha for leaving him. But I don’t think he knew he could do that at that point? So maybe he wrote the story spitefully and it happened to come true? Or something idk. Because the song features sounds of tools and machinery. As if he is “creating” the machine. I thought throughout the whole comic that the brothers were referring to Jesse as their god. Which it still kinda could. Again reference the third album, where he basically considers himself a god. Idk.

@@JJMetalheadmakes me consider the first song too. Especially after the rerelease of it. It’s a much more genuine love song than the step dad would have it be. I think the first song could also be Jesse singing about the girl, before she left. Idk. Because obviously he does love her (as twisted as it may be). We do know his relationships are a bit weird and he does kinda bury his girl or whatever in the 3rd comic. I just woke up so my brain isn’t pulling things up super accurately. Lol.
