I would like to note that with the tune it increases the launch rev limit from 3500 to 4000 rpm. So that's why I am able to rev more with HVI, and also the HVI with Boomba

Is there launch control on the ITS?
@JohnNguyenVincent5 ай бұрын
@@thealbumreview it’s a manual. But it will hold the revs at 4k if you are tuned instead of 3.5

I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel the ITS with a sprint filter produces more sound than the FL5. That or your camera and mic set up is really good lol. I have watch other videos and yours just comes out with more turbo noise. Anyways yes it is a tad bit louder than the sprint filter you had on previously. Would have been nice if PRL had a carb sticker for us Cali boys though.
@JohnNguyenVincent8 ай бұрын
I put the sprint filter on the FL5 and it sounds similar. So it’s probably just the video. And Yeah, I used the same mic on both of my test just hoping it didn’t auto some of the sensitivity up or down.

For the maf sensor harness, what did you mean by removing one of the pins? Is it like a clip you remove that frees it up? I might go that route if it's easier to do. I could care less if that plastic stays on. Also I heard you had to take out the ecu, is there anything else electrical other then maf sensor and the 2 connectors on the top of the ecu that you need to unplug? Lastly, the piece you mentioned at 5:20...all I need to do is loosen the 2 big clamps and then I can just slide that hose out with force/without unscrewing that clamp if it was even possible?
@JohnNguyenVincent8 ай бұрын
If you remove the clips, it will free up the space a bit, just use a small flat head on it and pry it out. There is like 20 clips and they are tiny and space closely together. For the plugs, there are more plugs under the ecu that you need to be relocate. Underneath the ecu, you have to remove a bracket (that bracket holds like two plugs). and lastly, yeah that three hole coupler (tripler? lol), is not super tight where you can just slide it off. Just slide it off without even touching the small clip.
@A_guan8 ай бұрын
@@JohnNguyenVincent you didn't remove the 20 clips right? You just removed one and it was enough if I remember right? The plugs under there you won't need to unplug or something do you?
@JohnNguyenVincent8 ай бұрын
you don't need necessarily need to unplug the harness below the ecu section but you need to unclip them and relocate them to the new spot. The second intake duct is there now @@A_guan
@A_guan8 ай бұрын
@@JohnNguyenVincent ahhh okay that I can deal with I just hate messing with electrical. Never in my life did I ever expect to take out the ecu to install an intake but looks straight forward enough. More annoying part seems to be that maf harness at this point since ecu is just 2 bolts and undoing those connectors

Can I buy your other filter you had in your vehicle? I don't know if it's spoon filter I'll pay for shipping.

The first initial revs was only at 3 bars on the left. So it wasn’t hot enough where it started to burble. That was my bad!

Couldn't really detect much audible difference outside of the initial pops from inside the garage. No real performance difference? Also a disappointment. Maybe its the butt dyno rather than actual difference. Personally, I have bought in on all the bolt ons with plans to install in the next few weeks. Don't intend to tune as I'm not looking to get the most juice out. Mainly hoping for better sounds, slight bump in performance, and perhaps better throttle response.

lots of independent testing is done on this intake. It's known to be the best bang for your buck intake. There are gains... Power Gains: 13 hp and 10 ft/lbs *. The best gains are the eventuri but that was $$$ and is only slightly more than the prl.
