I really resonate with Caleb here. Specifically in regards to 2020 when the lockdowns hit. I was getting absolutely smashed more than half the days of the week. A lot of 2020 is kind of a blur. Eventually I realized by the end of 2020 the path I was heading down and now it’s a soley a social occasion. but I’ve honestly seriously been thinking of just not drinking again. Not a drop. It’s just gross. Especially the hangovers, it made me be like “why am I doing this to myself? I’m literally poisoning myself.” This guy is a huge inspiration. I’m happy for him and I hope he knows we all support him getting sober🙏 keep up to good work Caleb you’re fans stand by you🙏

You can do it. Ever checked out AA? I did that.. got 13 years sober. Its not the only way to get and stay sober but it is one way to do it.

@@lakeoffrost4069 I have been to at least a thousand meetings from AA, CA and HA. I've sponsored people, done H&I started meetings. I haven't been to a meeting in awhile but I've been slowly reaching out to some of my old friends. My old friends in the program I mean haha

I know it seems daunting, but just focus on one day at a time because its easy to feel intimidated thinking about the long term. Just fight your way through this one single day, today, and try to make it through. If you can do that, then first off wake up tomorrow feeling proud of yourself, then try it again. Over and over. And if you slip its ok. You've made progress and can get back on that horse. If you bring it up to friends and family, their love and support can make a huge difference as well. Best of luck!

Most people think youve either got be sober, or a complete mess. Why not just drink a little bit?

Many, many people aren’t capable of that. 1 drink leads to 2 leads to 3. Then you start adding other substances after your main one stops doing the trick. What works for you doesn’t always work for others.

For some people, like myself, it's all or nothing. When I abstain from alcohol I have to do that full stop to make it work. Zero alcohol. If I break and have one beer I have to buy a pack every day after that. I congratulate all the people who can have a drink with dinner and call it a night. That is not me. If I have one drink I want all of them until I can't anymore. Wake up the next day feeling like shit, I either let the hangover run its course or I remedy it with more booze. Usually the latter.
