Interesting seeing the burning of the siding. I'm assuming it helps weather proof by caramelizing the lignin in the wood or something. Less toxic than pressure treated wood.

When you hold the earth in your hand 🌱as you garden such great things are found🦎. What was once two dimensional on paper 🗒becomes three dimensional🏞. What once was only your vision alone The Whole world can now see. Thank you Mr. Meiwa for a glimpse into Mr. Inada’s vision🤔. Though we cannot hold the earth in our hand as he does to manipulate & transform from one something beautiful to something grand it is art none the less. Creation is a glorious experience. I am fascinated by the lens 🎥view of the process.☕️

The tall fence will provide the sense of privacy that will be important to the definition of the garden. The use of such long lasting materials and finishing them so as to appear old is very good. The translation of the "wabi'sabi". or used appearance of a material is better said "weathered" in English. The materials are not "destroyed" rather enhanced by age and use. Not a criticism, but just the use of a word that has a better connotation for this wonderful project. Thanks so much.

Where are all the trees? When you fly over the property yours is the only plot with trees on it. Do trees not hold any significance? In North America the properties with trees on them are typically worth more and in agriculture areas they keep a perimeter of trees usually to act as a windbreak for crops. It's so odd to see barren land like that. Thank goodness you are saving the few that are left!
