Thank you for this beautiful video. When I was a teenager, there was a forest near my house that was scheduled to be torn down and developed into new homes. I wanted to preserve a piece of that beloved forest where I had played as a kid, so I tried moving a small cedar tree sapling to my backyard. I really could have used the advice of this video back then! After several failed attempts I managed to get a cedar tree from my childhood forest growing behind our garden shed, under the shade of bigger trees that I thought would be similar to the conditions of the forest. I look forward to seeing how the natural trees add to the beauty of this Japanese garden in future videos.

It’s strange that you can just go dig up plants in Japan. That’s not allowed in the UK.
