I've just been working on my fundementals both on court and in the weight room, I see these social media drills all the time but I just stick to the more fundemental and not as flashy things

but what does "the fundamentals" consist of. if thats stationary dribbling, spot shooting and jump moves at cones you'll have a tough time seeing results

@@tjltraining no its catch and shoot with defenders etc etc, game like workouts. But I dont do any flashy drills from instagram is what I meant

@@tjltrainingbro, just a question, what do you prefer, should you train with a skills coach or watch his tutorials and train by yourself?
@tjltraining9 ай бұрын
@@EijiD both. 99% of people can't train everyday with a trainer, but maybe 1-2 times a week and then on your own the other days

Hi, 2 questions, how can you get a good amount of shooting reps on your own and how long should you train for when you train/workout?
@tjltraining8 ай бұрын
You get a good amount of shots up by going hard for an hour straight and getting quality shots not just a high volume. Ideally two seperate 60 minute basketball workouts a day is sufficient

can you give me constructive criticism on how u workout? i’m 14 and the things i struggled my 8th grade season were ball handling and shooting on Monday, Wednesday, Friday. i get form shots up and midrange with threes at the end. i’m not focusing on working on shots i would take in game because i need to get my form ready first. i will explain more in the reply

on Tuesday, Thursday n Saturday i work on finishing and ball handling 6:00-8:00 doing overhand, under hand and scoop finishes with both hands so i can build the fundamentals first then once i got them down move on to finishes i want to add.
@jake12jamiefox789 ай бұрын
for my ball handling i start off stationary and i work on keeping my chest and eyes up while dribbling both hands. then i move on to freestyle dribbling and changing my pace.

2 quick questions(not quick btw) i saw your short video about should i do game like drills or non game like so i dont what to do bc i dont understand if i should keep doing what im doing or change it Question 2 is my friend thinks skill workouts are better than 1v1 or small sided games so we usually end up doing our skill workouts and then after we do some closeout shooting or a finishing SSG then finish with 3 dribble 1v1 is this a good structure?
@tjltraining9 ай бұрын
SSG and live drills IS skill work.. you are better off adding a live component to most of the stuff you are doing and just doing 1v1 3 dribbles at 5 spots is not the most effective way to play1s, I have videos on my channel on better ways to play one v one

Bro every time i play my friend i literally cant get by him i tried change of pace and whenever i drive i end up going away from the hoop so instead i try to bump him but he steals it everytime i try to bump him so everytime i do get by with pure speed i get blocked like what do i do
@tjltraining9 ай бұрын
You are most likely very predictable as a ball handling and cant effectively read him, which is why more 1v1 is important to improve your decision making
