@@MrMad2424 sonicwake V2 purchased yesterday. Just went through it and greased the flex shaft(not a fan of that process - you cant eveb put a lot on it since when you put it back into the stuffing tube it all builds up at the white rubber ring) Doesn't come with 10mm open wrenches either which to me is absurd. Used one I had and a Cresent wrench to hold the motor coupler. Taking her for maiden voyage now! Bringing 2 sets of 3s batteries. 50c 5500s and Compact 100c 8000s to try. I also have 2 brand new SMC 5200s 120c but haven't opened them yet. Wish me luck! Lol

@@MrMad2424 so that was a blast. Choppy water but I got to see how it handles and drives. Is the rudder supposed to move slightly up and down with that plastic hardware? The stickers are already peeling from the 2 sets of batteires I ran. The 8000s seem like they were meant for this boat. Compartment is perfect size. I have the hard case Zeee ones. I dislike how it turns at slow speeds. Water only comes out the holes when going fast enough, so putting around will not cool this boat, which is silly. Once lvc hits it only gives you 2 second windows of energy to get back...not enough in my opinion and it doesn't turn at all once lvc hits so thats another flaw I found. The boat does bring these batteries low... I might raise the cut off. But good first runs I supposed. Can't wait for a morning lake run when it's glass! I would have been disappointed with the smaller recoil 2 boat I think.

Hello from Greece i very enjoyed your videos,i need your opinion i have the joysway bullet 4s v hull and i thing its time for upgrade. Iam between this two i mostly playing in the sea and mainly in the summer the condition of the waters its 70%rough 30%glass i dont have rescue boat i swimm or i have if i choose lake a child's raft i am not to do any upgrades i preciate the fiberglass hull and the telemetry of the impulse but i love the size wnd the flood champer of the sonicwake i dont no what to choose tell me about now because its time since they release which is the best boat flawless and better handle. Impulse is a great boat and fiberglass but you will need a recovery boat. The sonicwake would be my choice for a beginner boat.

I ha e a question. I have the impulse. I accidentally hit a dock and cracked the hull. I found someone who is selling a sonicwake v2 hull only. Are the internals of the impulse compatible for an easy swap into the sonicwake v2?

The impulse has a long can motor. Might have to remove the receiver box and do a little cutting to make it fit but other than that it could be done.

I'd go with the single 6s unless you had other rc's that would work with 2-3s packs. If you use 1-6s pack you'll have to have a jumper or short plug for the extra ec5 on the esc.
