Thank you for the tips with the emailing Art directors. Myself I would send a email to about 15-20 every week to the same art directors. Now Im thinking NOT to do this every week LOL. Love your videos. Happy Holidays!

Hey James! A question on the follow up email for those 3 to 4 months stints. How would you spark up that one sided conversation with an AD that hasn't responded yet? Is it silly to be too hung up on this? Do you just say "Heeeeeeres JOHNNY!" and attach a gif from the Shinning?

Hey, great question! Ideally you'll be sending them some fresh new work. You could include some of the general introductory text from the first, but i think it's good to write the follow up email as if they did respond the first time round: friendly and casual - like you're old pals.

@@TheIllustratorsGuide Thank you James for this video! Just wanted to add a follow-up question to your reply. Do you continue your conversation (that is up until this point one-sided) in the same email thread or do you start a new email?

@@kolmaris That's a good question. I guess the same chain is good for continuity and will help the client see you are persistent. But sometimes it might be the case that you've gone off the work you sent last time (which does happen) and you prefer to start a fresh chain.
