1,000th like. Matt, I'm 20 and been watching you for the past 4 years and you don't know me now but you will when God decides it's time to elevate me. I just want to say thank you and want to encourage you to keep working and to keep uploading because you're affecting so much more people than you know. I know you're at the stage of 308k subscribers but always remember that there's a domino effect. Those subscribers are repeating your words to others who aren't watching your videos so in reality, you're impacting so much more than your subscribers or views will ever tell you. I want to thank you again and pray my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's love and blessings over you. May you come into relationship with Jesus and may there be the one true domino effect, His growth in your life bringing growth to every other area of your life. That being your purpose, relationships, gifts, flaws, ect. I pray God makes a way for me to meet you one day, Godwilling soon enough where we're both still playing so we can get a training session. Remember this one thing, that with GOD, truly all things are possible, amen. God bless you now and forever bro.

By the way, as Pastor Mike Todd would say, this is crazy faith for me to say one day we'll meet but I know God can do all things and that this desire of my heart can be granted through me delighting in Him. So I'm publicly making it known today that this is a crazy faith prayer of mine so that when God does it, you and everyone else can see the love, grace, and faithfulness of God, amen.

No, it's really not Your either so talented you get noticed or you shove you playing quality down their throats And also good players aren't at the right place at the right place at the right time, it's positioning, you watch specific players like KDB, he always finds space even when the team is on point closing space constantly, or how vardy always seems to be on the end of a ball, he doesn't just end up their by chance, he an his teammates know where he's gonna be

I feel like you really have to go all or nothing. I thinking about it for my kid who is 5. I know that's young but I feel kids are starting so young these days so I have no choice but to start him young so he can compete every step of the way. Competitive doesn't start until what - age 8 ish? Matt - if you read this - one thing that would be cool to know from you is - if you had a kid (say 4 or 5 years old).... and he seemed fairly athletic and seemed to enjoy soccer... what path would you chart for him to give him the best chance at going pro? How would that path look at each age? At what point do you start "taking it serious" for the kid and doing deliberate practice as opposed to "just kicking it around"? thx

and what matt said in his first point is exactly why imho Sheldon Tweedie won't make it as far as he hopes or thinks and thats not hating its just my opinion. To me in what he shows us in his videos doesn't look as committed to really pushing himself and getting the best he can. And of course i can be wrong and maybe he will make it but the constant backing out of opportunities and not wanting to play in Australia because 'he can't progress in that league' ti me is a self entitled view point. I really think he needs to realise how much more work he needs to put in if he's to make it to what Matt is now. Again thats just my opinion.

@hamidbabaali10
@hamidbabaali10 4 жыл бұрын
I understand what you’re saying, and in a way I agree with you. However, you have to realize that he’s 22 years old already. He has to get the most professional opportunities that he can get. I have no idea how good or how fluid the Australian system is so I can speak on that. But I think being selective in certain situations isn’t a bad thing.

Sheldon's problem is he is nowhere near athletic enough to be a pro... where he is physically now is where I was at about 13/14. He's not fast, strong or fit.
@richarddacosta663
@richarddacosta663 4 жыл бұрын
@@francoismaurice5773 I've watched his highlights. I've also seen him race Matt. He's not fast by pro standards at all. Matt is fast, but he isn't even that fast by pro standards. Yet he beat Sheldon so badly in their race that Sheldon was out of frame at the end. He was at least 5 yards behind. His physicality is shit man. Maybe 13 is a stretch, but by the time I was 15 I can 100% say I was a better athlete than he is now. I was also squatting more weight than he's doing now. He's not technical enough that he can get away with being slow and weak at a high level. You can see just his frame and muscle tone, he's not a natural athlete.
@hamidbabaali10
@hamidbabaali10 4 жыл бұрын
Richard Da Costa hey man, these are all fair arguments by all means. However, I think you’re only looking at an athletic perspective. The points you made are fair, but I’ve seen many professionals that are slow even by Sheldon’s standards. Yet they think fast on the ball. They have good Center of gravity so they aren’t pushed off the ball, and they just understand the game quick enough to not need that physicality. That being said, there is a lot he can improve on in all aspects. But I think with putting in hours and lots of effort, he can definitely reach the standard. I think he has a decent enough technical ability to play with most players. His mind will only get better and sharper with more experience. I’m rooting for him, he puts in a lot of work and I think he should keep pursuing his dream.

is it good to always be playing soccer year around what if someone takes like a 2-3 month break will they lose their skills?

Kevin Munive if you take a break because you’re injured it makes sense but if you love football after only 1 week of no football I’m desperate to get back on the pitch. 2-3 month of intentional break will definitely lower ur fitness / technical lvl tho it’s my opinion.

It really depends, there's this guy at my place where, he played for my state team when he was just 18 and at 23 he stopped playing football totally as he got into drugs and alcohol and all such things, but after four years of no football that guy's technical ability is still a gem but his fitness level is all that got poor.

Football is as mentally draining as any other full time job. You gotta give your body some time to fill up those batteries if you don't want to end up depressed or something similar

@@uafa140 Ronaldo still takes his recovery seriously, but he's been training hard since he was a kid and his body is used to the stresses of intense work so he will be able to train more than Matt without taking a rest day
