Though I'm armed, and carry 24/7, this kind of situation worries me badly. There just isn't any good solution when someone is surrounded by a violent mob whether that person is armed or not. The people in the mob aren't individuals; they are part of a collective, and they collectively don't feel any fear, so showing them that you're armed won't scare them, it'll just make them angrier, as shown in this video. The man in the car, even if he had a firearm, is in a terrible dilemma: if he shoots one or two to escape, and does make it safely away, then he'll be impoverished by our corrupt "justice" system; he'll be bankrupted even if found not guilty. He'll also be known to the mob's organizers, so his life as a normal citizen will be over forever as he's forced to watch his back. The same outcome occurs if he drives forcefully through the mob. He'll be indicted, but no one in the mob will be, and he'll lose his normal lifestyle even if he's innocent of all charges. What's the answer to this riddle, does anyone have one?

I don't know if cities like this can be saved. The decent citizens have to get out if they can. But, they also need to understand they voted in the problem. If government doesn't even _attempt_ to hold up its end of the bargain, it should have no right to stop vigilantes or disproportionate retribution.

This is a PERFECT microcosm of the Israel/“Palestine” conflict, albeit far less gruesome.
