Hmmm.... Two guys get out of a car and one claims to be an FBI Special Agent. No ID presented. They are not dressed in suits which used to be standard for Special Agents going to interview someone. This is suspicious right off the top. I would simply go back in my house, refuse to talk to them at all, and continue recording. Remember, anything you say can be "interpreted" to be a "falsehood" and Federal Statute (I refuse to cal it "law") makes it a "crime" to "lie" to an FBI Agent. The utter lack of conformity to FBI procedural norms is disturbing and strongly suggests intimidation, not information gathering. The burden of proof, of probable cause, and of proper identification is always on the government. Or at least, it used to be before this stooge Garland became the AG.

Actually, it is shocking at how many interviews the FBI doesn't record and then later relies on the notes that the agent turns over as if there is no bias in what they do claim you said or leave out from what you said.

Most police don't record if they can get by with it since they can testi-lie and will typically be accepted as being authoritative by juries. If they are recording it is because regulations require it, or the they are worried that they will be sued, or it will be useful as propaganda.
