Nice lesson plan. Some of todays NHL players have no idea how to take and give a hit. I don’t understand why that is. But I have seen so many hits in the last few years on both sides that where not the correct way. It’s an art form to learn for sure. 😉👍

I totally agree, checking is a skill like any other in hockey. It needs to be taught and practiced by players from young ages. The game is fast and there will always be some awkward and poorly timed contact but if players hone their skills at younger ages they'll be better prepared as the game speeds up at higher levels.

Best of luck buddy, work hard and do what you do best at tryouts. If you’re a skater skate, if you’re a hitter hit, if you’re a shooter shoot…you get the point. Good luck and keep me posted on how it goes.

I think body checking should be allowed in all female mainstream leagues, too. It just becomes very morally unfair to carry out a body check when someone is at extra risk because of an announced or internally between two playing teams made clear pregnancy. I would not want to check against a pregnant. It could emotionally make the Mum-to-be unwell about the safety of her unborn. The only rule I would like to see implemented is that body checking is not allowed against a) someone who is pregant b) someone how is physically already injured upper-body-wise or knee-wise but else fit enough to play, and the trainer has made that clear to the referee.

1. Why the fuck would a pregnant mum be playing hockey and 2. Female hockey sucks theres no action

I love women's hockey in the sense that it's cool to see how tactical women play the game case and point the 2018 USA Canada gold medal match was awesome to watch. But a big thing is studies have shown women take longer to recover from impact concussion from checks and it has more detrimental effects. Don't get it twisted though those are some tough women but many of them agree and don't feel the need to have to check.

like someone else said, no pregnant women would play hockey. and, girls are at higher risk of concussions so the leagues are protecting you from getting hurt, too many concussions and it can kill you.
