Good stuff Capt. I almost went to try a few casts at the pier by my house today. It was the first time I've been outside without a jacket in months. Hopefully I'll get off earlier tomorrow and have more time. It's been a rough winter for a FL Man by the Chesapeake Bay. The flounder should start showing up in March and I plan to get on them asap.

Yes sir, fortunately we have had a warm up the last 11-12 days and the fish are waking up down here. Lots of good solid catches on the Paul Brown Corkys and the Zman PrawnStarz

Captain...im having great success with the salty ned shrimp during winter. Do you think they will work good in the spring when the water warms up?

Yes, in clear shallow water that Salty Ned Shrimpz is deadly

@ I want to use a 5 inch jerk shad because it casts well but I’ve heard big baits are not good in spring. Do you think it would work

Having some issues, 8lb standard power pro not liking my improved Albright, never had any issues at with this braid to mono connection, but if I tie heavier than 20lb mono the leader breaks just below the knot every time, fishing for reds in an area with a decent bit of structure (but very shallow) so using 12-15lb leader has lost me a few fish. Question is do you have this issue with diamond micro? I didn’t with 10lb super slick but I want to go down the the standard 8lb because of the finesse presentation I’m having to use to get the bigger reds to eat

With the 10lb Diamond Micro to Fluorocarbon I generally tie an FG Knot or an Alberto Knot!
@EmersonMatter

@@flatsclasscharters the Alberto and uni to uni were my favorites before you showed the improved Albright. I’ll try that I’m new to the lighter braid but I can promise I’ll never look back 😂 no more 15 on a 2500
