I honestly loved this take. I'm not familiar with the original, but to me, the thematic changes between the sections were fluid, natural, and extremely well structured rhythmically and harmonically. This is a great series. I was hooked when I saw the Huey Lewis episode, and this is yet another great showcase of talent
@FillyNouch4 ай бұрын
I had the pleasure to work for Anomalie 10 years ago (I was the technical director on a show he was part of). I've heard his stuff way before I knew he was part of the festival, I was already a fan. Such a sweet and kind human being, his success is truly deserved.

My god imagine if Taylor decided to send Antoff for a vacation and work with musicians like him. Like she could write the songs and then send it without chords so the musician can harmonize it however they want - she would win every single professional musician in the industry
@jonathanhenderson94222 ай бұрын
AFAIK she uses Antonoff more for his productions than input on chords and music structure. I agree though; she has such strong hooks but most of her songs could be even better with some harmonic spice. Plus I think she's really gotten into a samey monotony working with Antonoff (and Dessner) too much. She really needs another style refresh.

Anomalie is such a great artist, but also a great guy. I had the honor to meet him after his concert in Amsterdam a few years back and I will never forget that. He was so nice to talk to, I still cherish that he took the time to do that and be such an amazing artist and person.

To be honest, If Anomalie and Taylor made an album with Taylor’s producer to help them with the structure… that would be an genre transcendent, all-time album that no one would be able to deny.

It is so refreshing to have a keyboardist who is actually listening to the music and not just soloing for 3 - 4 mins like a lot of the other musicians that have done this challenge. You can tell that Anomalie is such a fantastic artist who should be celebrated for these creative choices!

Anomalie is a monster musician. This has to be the best rendition of all the "for the first time" episodes I've listened to, on all instruments. No showing off, no mindless shredding, no overcomplicating - just pure class, taste and musicianship. This can easily be turned into a streaming-friendly official arrangement of the song. Amazing job.
